Coming from LA, I've never understood why especially east Texas (where I'd put College Station/A&M/Houston) doesn't accept that they are as southern as it gets.
It really is about like Austin trying to act like it's not in Texas...

I spent a year in San Antonio, and I think Texas is a pretty cool state. I just can't stand Austin. I fricking hate hipsters!!!
