Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't PB one of the main instigators in all the politically correct nonsense with the X flags, playing of Dixie and mascot change?

The entire program has effectively castrated itself by purging all the traditions and all that's done is piss a lot of the fans off. Certainly hasn't helped recruiting, as the football program sucks more now than ever.

It's funny how Ole Miss spends more money buying out coaches than they do paying them. A new coach isn't what is needed. What is needed is to keep the recruits out of trouble. Nutt can only work with what he has and can only coach so much. It is ultimately up to the players to execute. If the receivers cannot catch the ball, you don't blame the coach, you nail the player. Changing coaches every 3-5 years isn't going to fix anything. Think of this, who the hell is going to come to Ole Miss and coach knowing they are sealing their fate and career. Who are they gonna get that is any better. It is not the coaches that is the problem, it is the quality of players. The great ones can't stay out of trouble long enough to matter. It is what it is.... Stop making it something that it isn't. Living in the past gets you nowhere. Come to Ole Miss, we value traditions and excellence.... Um, ok. Traditions? Hardly... We jump at every persons demands that doesn't like something. If you don't like what something stands for at a certain university, go somewhere else. A recent survey was done based on the satisfaction with the University from Alumni, parents, and current students. The study showed that 8 out of 10 people will soon cease to support the University because it has been ruined. It stands for nothing it once did. It used to be a great thing to say that you were from Ole Miss. Not now.... People constantly want to change the way things are. Try that mess at LSU, Auburn, Alabama and see how far that gets you. If you don't like something about the school, go somewhere else. Black bears, REALLY? Come on, give me a break. We are the laughing stock of the SEC and the rest of the college world. We so often jump to be 'PC' about everything. Ole Miss is soon to be in a hurting way. They have increasingly and overwhelmingly destroyed the meaning of what it meant to attend the University of Mississippi. The long traditions routed in the pride of being an Ole Miss Rebel are over. Sure, people will continue to carry on at Ole Miss. It will soon fall into the categories that the other smaller state funded institutions that also are without Alumni Support. The Alumni isn't happy and that is plain to see. It's not just the athletic program that has some issues. In this day in age, it is everything. If you bite the hands that feed you, eventually you will starve.

The 2 asshurt local radio commentators (One OM guy and one MSU guy) basically said yesterday that coaches, AD, etc are not the Mississippi schools problem. They said the biggest problem was that State and OM don't pay players and if they want to compete they have to start.

I think Nutt just needs more time, back to back Cotton Bowls are special. Every team has their ups and downs. As long as you have teams like Auburn coming in and swooping up your recruits on signing day its going to be tough to compete with strict limits on oversigning. Obviously OM is having a rough year and some staff changes might be in order but you can't just roll over new coaches every 3 years and expect to compete.

Ole miss fans are like the abused wife that keeps telling itself it's really the families fault because they keep provoking her husband to beat the shite out of him.

No, it's your coach.

Pete Boone did not run off every quarter back that he recruited in persuit of a 1 year quick fix, which wasn't even a fix in the first place.

Pete Boone did not bring his staff of marry men who cannot develop players and refuse to recruit hard

Pete Boone is not an egomaniac who refuses to give up play calling regardless of who the O cord is. The man had Gus Malzahn as his O Cord for 1 year and refused to let him call plays, that tells you all you need to know about the dipshit.

you guys, would have been, not embarrassingly bad had nutt not ran off Nathan Stanley in pursuit of Mosoli. Nutt is a master at this shite, getting other people to blame for his short comings. There is a reason he has been in the SEC longer than any coach as of now (not including SoS who went to the NFL)

you are an idiot if you do not think nutt has been calling the plays at ole miss.

the only reason he brought in a new cord is so take some of the heat off last year / someone to throw under the bus again when the teams stink up the field.

Pete is a problem as much as Nutt is you just want HDN to fail, which considering your loyalties, is about as much a surprise as a bear shitting in the woods.

If you don't think he was calling the sad shite calls before the Superbowl known as the Fresno State game, you have lost your mind.

The only way he was not 'technically' calling the plays before was if he put the script down in front of Lee and demanded he call the same sad shite calls that he has used consistently for 10 plus years.

To the OP, yes Boone is a big part of the problem. My hope is that you keep Nuttless for several more years (since he is not the issue).
