We are, and we didn't even play the player we are on probation for. I am proud of that fact over consistent history of cheating.

To be an LSU fan, do you have to hate the refs? Seriously? I've never seen a fan base so collectively be in unison over something like this ever. Do the child abusers, rapist, and pedophiles dress up as refs in LA or something?

That is not correct.. Previous rule he could have landed 200 yards OB and so long as he went past it its a TD. With rule change that is 6 months old the goal line STILL extends.. But only if the ball carrier touches the pylon or makes contact with the endzone.

You are thinking of the NFL rule along with many AU fans apparently

nyone with a brain knows Auburn should have all wins last season vacated, but I doubt it will happen because the NCAA is pathetic.

Yah, you're a joke.

where was the review?

This is the bigger issue imo. A missed call during the game at full speed is one thing, but to not even review such a crucial play was truly baffling.

There was a timeout, there is nothing to review. It wasn't even that close.

Based on the rule change, it was the right call. Even I admit that now that I know they changed the rule. So I'd assume the refs knew that and since he landed out of bounds just said it didn't merit review.

That said, Mullen's obviously didn't realize the rule changed and took the timeout to give them time to review. It ended up costing him the game honestly.

The officails in the box would know about the new rule so all they would have to look at would be if the runner touches the pylon or had a body part touch the endzone.. If both those cases fail then it wouldnt be a TD. The TO probably gave them time to look. Just because they dont stop play does not mean that nobody looked at it.

What a weird rule change..

Not really.

MSU players and coaches need to be kicked in the arse. That RB stopping in the damn hole on the one yard line was simply horrible.

The goal line extends forever..... you dont have to go inside the pylon

Huh? The goal line extends up, but it doesn't extend outside the pylon. It's there for a reason.

I see all these posts saying it was a touchdown and I'm surprised there are so many people who actually don't know the rules. I don't mean you specifically, since there are rules each of us is probably unclear of, but I am surprised at the volume of people who didn't know this one.

I agree with you. I could be completely wrong but I THOUGHT you have to go over or touch the pylon? I have never thought you could dive at an angle out of bounds and score... without going over the pylon.

Nope - Auburn called the timeout after the goal line dive, not MSU.

that chain measurement where aubie got the first down but was clearly a couple of inches short was a joke. I lost a few years off my lifespan after they gave them that first down.
