Does this guy deserve to be in the same conversation as Nick Saban, Les Miles, and Steve Spurrier? I really don't think so quite yet. Maybe another couple 10 win seasons and he could be but as of now I think he's going to ride the Cam Newton wave and flame out like Coker did at Miami. I'd put Chizik just below Richt and just above Dooley in my list. I think Darn Marlins is better too but I just need to see something big out of State.

Too soon to tell, but he has been great at AU so far.
ETA: We probably won't have a definitive answer or good idea where he belongs on the list until after 2013.

considering he has only been coaching a few years, I'd say he has some time to wait to be judged compared to more veteren coaches

Not even close. And ftr, Miles isn't in the same conversation with Saban or Spurrier.

I know many here will discredit Chizik but as a Auburn fan, I dont think we could have asked him to do a better job than he has done so far.
He really has not made any big mistakes...
But we will see in a few years.

I wouldn't put Chizik up there yet… he is obviously a good coach, but not yet proven to be a great one. How good he is really won't be determined until we see what he does without Cam and probably one day without Malzahn… when Malzahn ever decided to leave.

I swear...this topic gets discussed every other week.

All I know is that he has done everything exactly as it's needed to be done from day 1.

Iteresting you should use Coker as a comparison because Miles actually mimics Coker's career at Miami at this point. One difference is Coker took Miami to two NC games. In fact records are similar after 6 seasons.
Coker 60-15
Miles 62-17
Good flame attempt though.

More like the SEC's Dennis Erickson with the blatant cheating and recruitment of thuggish players.

Considering that coaching won the Iron Bowl...Yes!
