I get that. I was wondering how long an institution had to respond to an LOI/NOI once it has been received?

My question is why a "source inside the program" is restricted from telling Marshall whether Auburn has received an LOI or not?

We lost a very solid defensive line, guys like Clayton were oft overlooked but provided so much. On paper we've got the players to get the outside push on the lines but inside we really really really need Whittaker to live up to his billing.

I posted before you edited.

I think the NCAA has to send NOA within 6 months of sending NOI. The school then sets up a time with the NCAA to schedule a meeting with the Comm. on Infractions once they have responded...

Clayton
Very under rated due to all of the attention Fairley got.

Disclosure to that extent could remove the "closed" status afforded under Muse.

The only big surprise here is the Dyer thing.... Hope he does not have the Sophomore slump.... We need him this year

I think people thought i was trolling when i said this guy was vastly overrated and a product of the system last year. He gained a lot of yards coming in fresh last year playing against a tired defense who had chased Cam around all game and worn down by the dominant Oline. This year none of those will be a factor and he will play early and get hit by fresh defenses, as well as being more of a focal point. If you watch him play he goes down way too easy from contact (when he isnt falling on top of players) and doesnt have the wiggle that other elite backs have. His yard per avg will take a significant hit and i expect others to finally realize he wasnt a real 5 star back but just a solid 4 star. Nothing wrong with that, he is still a good player to have, just overrated.

On the DT's:
quote:
“There’s a lot of concern. None of them are anywhere close to the level of the guys who played last year even if you don’t consider Nick Fairley.”

What happened to "Nick who" Gabe Wright? Wasn't he mocking Nick Fairley or really Nick Saban.

This is a lot of wishful thinking. The issue was an attitude problem, not a talent problem.

I've watched every run he made last year 4 to 5 times, and you are way off-base here.

So does that make Trent Richardson, who has ~1400 career total yards, a product of a shitty system?

He was obviously talking about Fairley, he even talked to him about it days before his announcement.

So no update on the O-line except that some freshmen may play, hmmmm...and the d-line is nowhere near last year even if you don't count Nick Fairley, hmmmm....trenches, you gotta win em

You didn't watch much of Dyer last year then. Below is a video is almost all of his runs this past year. There were several runs where he ran tough and didn't go down easily. And he didn't come in the game late against tired defenses, other than the State game and Alabama game. He started for Christ's sake

Did this periodic check just say "frick it" to all the pending open records request?

I think he will be a top 3 or 4 back in the league this season. He will be in the conversation with Lattimore, Davis and Richardson.

Are y'all really expecting that much out of Whitaker? I know he was only a freshman last year, but he showed me nothing. Even though he annoys the shite out of me, I think Gabe Wright will make more of an impact down the road than Whitaker will.

Hey, help me do a break-down on this deal.

quote:

When the enforcement staff begins to review a situation, the NCAA sends a notice of inquiry to the NCAA member school’s president or chancellor. Usually an enforcement investigator is assigned to conduct in-person interviews.

The notice of inquiry tells school leadership the enforcement staff will be investigating the school. The alleged facts of the case are also presented including the potential violations by sport, the approximate time period associated with the potential violations and the involved parties. The enforcement staff also includes an approximate time frame for the investigation and notes any facts found during the investigation may cause additional violations, related or not, to be identified.

The NCAA does not release the notice of inquiry publicly, but the school may choose to release the letter or confirm its receipt.

So, Julie said they would let them know when the investigation is over...do they have to send a NOI to begin the investigation?

Also, the part in bold...doesn't that line up with B'ham News v. Muse?
