Are y'all really expecting that much out of Whitaker? I know he was only a freshman last year, but he showed me nothing. Even though he annoys the shite out of me, I think Gabe Wright will make more of an impact down the road than Whitaker will.

I expect him to be very good before all is said and done. I am biased though as he is one of my favorite players.

He has been getting a lot of praise from the coaches so far this fall. I hope he lives up to the hype.

DT is the second toughest position to make an impact at as a freshman. He got solid PT and experience last year, and I expect him to have a solid year. I think Gabe will be good too down the road

I'm so tired of these homerish practice reports. Only 25 more days...thank god.

Whit made some big plays last year as a freshman. He will be no Nick Fairley this year but the guy is learning and will be solid... I expect the same out of Carter as well.

These weren't homerish at all. Half of it was concerning

But I agree, I want the season to hurry up

according to your link, the NCAA won't publicly announced anything until the penalties, which is 6-8 weeks following the COI hearing. ...which is the same time we learned about Georgia Tech's NCAA problems. does Auburn have a policy that forces them to disclose anything prior to the penalties? if not, this might explain the $450k in invoices from Lightfoot, Franklin & White. i remember a few years ago, FSU tried to hide behind their law firm to shelter them from FOIA requests.

So, Julie said they would let them know when the investigation is over...do they have to send a NOI to begin the investigation?

No they don't have to and I suspect they don't send the NOI until they have a good idea about most of the information because they have a time limit on when they must send the NOA after the NOI is sent.

Also, the part in bold...doesn't that line up with B'ham News v. Muse?
Yes and no. The nCAA doesn't release the info and allows the schooll to release it if they want. Public schools may be forced to release it do to open records laws. Muse refers to a LOI, which was sent under a different NCAA process, but I think it would apply to the current process as well. Thus, an Alabama school doesn't have to release its NOI or NOA until after it has responded to an NOA.

That is how I read those links.

Lines up with them saying they haven't received it if the NCAA can investigate without sending a NOI.

Agreed. AU can choose not to release until they respond.

Looks like this thing could be going on a while.

Exactly. Which is what the coaches and Slive have been complaining about related to the NCAA process.

I suspect AU hasn't received an NOI or NOA, but that doesn't mean they couldn't get one tomorrow or in 12 months.

Maybe I missed it, but why is Emory in a cast?

Man, skating on the Cam eligibilty thing may have caused the NCAA to get a burr in their arse...black clouds hanging overhead aren't good for anyone.

Amen. I stopped reading LSU's starting this week. I'm tired of hearing about our QB's "tight balls, great motion, and accuracy" sounds more like they are shooting their load than a QB update.

He isn't? Watch the end of the video, he's in the right line, closest to the camera.
