Yeldon:
Kwon:
Johnson and other Junior QBs:
Yeldon:
quote:
Of the players who stood out in a crowd, it may have been Yeldon that most everyone was talking about. Yeldon was physically impressive and a stellar route runner with soft hands. He looked fluid in and out of breaks and made some very nice catches, taking pressure off his quarterback. Yeldon also expressed a personal goal to rush for over 1,000 yards and catch 1,000 yards worth of passes.
Kwon:
quote:
Wearing a Rivals.com polo for three days provides people an ample opportunity to give unsolicited opinions and most every time an evaluation of the Butkus Award semifinalist was given, the words "overrated" and "stiff" came up. The people in Alabama are very rare to knock one of their own but Alexander was the most often criticized player in the event. In the two games watched in person, it did look like Alexander was not meant to be out in space.
Johnson and other Junior QBs:
quote:
Entering the event, there was a lot of hype about the senior quarterbacks in the pool and for good reason with Brendan Nosovitch, Maty Mauk, Justin Thomas, Jalen Whitlow, Todd Mays and others in attendance. But it was the next group of signal callers that made the event. Trey Robinson (Dorman), Jeremy Johnson (Montgomery Carver), Austin Allen (Fayetteville), T.J Fleeton (Daphne), and Eddie Printz (Lassiter) all had some of the better showings in the event.

Yeldon could be another Greg Little. Very similar, IMO.

One of the Rivals analysts said if Yeldon put on another 5 pounds, he'd be a James Wilder clone physically

Both are beasts.. Austin is better than his brother.

Here's what I like:
Next year is going to be a great year for QBs in the South.

I read that, I just think he's more athletic.. He reminds me a lot of Greg Little when was was in his early days at UNC.

I see James Wilder all the time here. Yeldon isn't even close. Not even after another 5lbs. Another 15-20 should do it.
That being said, I think Wilder is a better LB than RB.

Well there it is, the evaluators are just plain stupid.

I know Yeldon was part of the Auburn family but I would have thought Bama might could have tried to sway him with the rb depth angle. We have two that can go to the draft and that leaves us with an unproven Dee Hart post knee injury( may never be the same) and a lb we are having to play at rb make that two lb playing rb. I like Fowler but he will always be a short yardage back imo

Let's be honest here, they're about as good evaluators as you and me.

I'm just saying. Yes Yeldon is ripped. But a lot of recruits are ripped. Wilder has some of the thickest legs I've ever seen on a "runningback." His lower body is a lot bigger than Yeldon's. Also, if Yeldon really is 6-2 then Wilder is taller.

Rivals getting ready to drop Kwon to a 3 star once he commits to Alabama. We're the new 5.7 U.

He's basically a lock. In a Rivals interview the other day, he said "it's going to take a whole lot" to beat out Auburn, and he almost committed at the minicamp a few weeks ago
