Historically, we're RIGHT behind LSU. Come on, R2R.

How talented and experienced are the guys behind those starting 5.

If they gel early they could be decent, but injuries could screw everything up. A player goes down, the coaches move some guys around and plug in a new player then they suck again.

I would imagine auburns OL will see every line stunt invented this year and some that have not.

Look on the bright side, they won't suck as bad in 2012

I think we'll be fine on the O-line personally both tackles have experience it's just a matter of which one plays on the left side. We have a lot of talented guards to choose from, but dismukes and burgess could be the problem.

- Aside from Auburn fans, it seems like the consensus of most of the SEC Rant is that Auburn's offensive line will underachieve massively this year. I know we lost Lee Ziemba, Ryan Pugh, Mike Berry, and Byron Isom - but we didn't bring in a bunch of JV volleyball chicks to play on the line.

- Let's look at Tennessee from last year.. They started, what - 3 freshmen on the offensive line? I know JaWuan James and James Stone started, but I'm not sure on the other.. Anyways, they played outstanding and were all highly touted/recruited out of high school. Tenessee finished the season with a 1,000 yard rusher and Tyler Bray looked outstanding (for a freshman) at quarterback. Even though they finished 6-7, it wasn't because of the offensive line. It was due to depth and Simms being the quarterback for the first half of the season.

- Auburn, in 2007, also started 3 true freshman on the offensive line and finished with 9 wins (Lee Ziemba, Ryan Pugh, and that little bitch Chaz Ramsey).

- Now let's look at Auburn: Yeah yeah, we lost the four starters. We know we won't be as good as last season. But we do have 2 seniors at both tackle spots (AJ Green and Brandon Moseley). At center, we have Reese Dismukes who enrolled in January and played in the spring game. He was rated the number 1 center while being recruited. Another player who will probably come in and play at left guard is Christian Westerman. Again, he was also highly touted and was the number 3 at his position. If not Westerman, it'll be senior Jared Cooper. The only spot left is right guard, and that will either be taken by Eric Mack (was highly recruited, redshirted last season), or big John Sullen (junior).

I'm more worried about winning the Kentucky game than the Auburn game. Auburn doesn't scare me at all this year. When we beat them, I won't even brag-it'll be roughly the same as beating UAB.

Exactly right. Especially if one was a tackle. I think we would be meh at guard, but tackle would hurt a lot.

They're all just talking a bunch of shite right now since I actually made a well thought out thread and provided a question. Some have answered, others are just here to flame.

You were annoying as Hell before the ban. for not resorting back to that in the face of all this flaming. And while I think this a solid thread no one ever responds to my rational posts. That being said

What? No greg Robinson as a starting guard? He must be a bust to not be a projected starting guard in this makeshift o line.

Dyer rushes for maybe 40 on lsu this year.

Why your QB will not be like 08

I don't feel like a migraine right now so that should do.

Why AU's recruiting classes are better blah blah blah

start one about me kicking trooper in the naz... you'll look like Nostradamus come October

Big talk coming from a team that has had 2 winning seasons the past decade.

You don't have any tough games with La Tech, Maine, or Houston on the schedule anytime soon, do you?

A lot of the freshman are impressed with him during the early summer workouts.
