So, nearly all new starters this year, are as good as 3rd year starting juniors?

It's not that you guys will suck. It's that you had one of the better lines in the nation last year (spare me the NFL draft) and compared to that unit it "should" be a serious downgrade in experience. Losing that kind of experience to a very good line raises obvious questions for any team wouldn't you agree?

Ed Christian could easily slide in and take a guard spot as well. A lot of people were really high on this kid coming out of high school.

Grimes has also been high on Chad Slade. Not sure how much he has progressed since high school though.

I didn't read all that shite, but a team with experienced LBs and DLs are gonna have their way with that OL.

You don't lose four starting linemen, most of which were 3 year starters, and not suffer from it.

I agree 100% on everything you just said. I'm not expecting us to play as good as last year, but we won't be bad. We'll have an average offensive line in the SEC, but Malzahn will work around it.

I said we'll suffer, but not as bad as everyone seems to think.

LSU had an experienced OL in 2009.

Look at how we turned out.

Why are you so paranoid over what the SECr thinks of next year's Auburn team?

One thing that you definitely have as a positive with the group. You have to think that Gus will still find a way to score on "most" teams.

All I did was ask:

quote:

Why is it a "given" to the SECr that Auburn's offensive line will suck?

And I'm waiting on opinions. How is that paranoid?

:kige:

I think Ed was hurt this spring but it wouldn't surprise me to see him start at guard with Mack.

I think we'll struggle (pretty bad) against Bama and LSU. But what teams won't this year, ya know..
