Cut it down and make Cane poles so those necks can fish.

Make Wood siding out of it so those necks can put it on there trailors.

The trees may not die as a consequence of the man's actions. I may be wrong. I knew someone who once tried to kill a huge oak by the same method, and he told me, "I think the tree is loving that shite. It's been over a year and it looks healthier than ever." He had decided to let it remain on his land.
