I mean your school, if you even went to school, won about 12 games throughout the 90's and then all of a sudden starts winning the very next decade. Do you people even think before you type something??

That's because they hired Nick Saban.

So? They must be cheating if they turned their program around according to his post.

No,Saban got the instate talent to stay home. Even during the 90's LSU was better than Ole Miss.Auburn would win then go on probation. When has Auburn ever won w/o going on probation?Camgate is not over!

As I said earlier, the ignorance on this board is amazing sometimes.

Wasn't the spread 6-4? And we went on a bitch of a probation. Tubberville was limited to giving out 15 scholarships for his first few seasons, as well.

Exactly MSU fans! Now that Ole Miss has settled all of their off-field issues of mascot picking, they will be more focused than ever! They will rise to the top of Mississippi again starting this year!

Au has a big turna round...we cheated

LSU, Bama, FSU, or any other school has a big turnaround...it is because of good coaching and talent.

Exactly. Those teams didn't hire a loser coach named Cheezenip that couldn't win at a big 12 powerhouse like Iowa State. They hired proven winners that eat grass and compare losses to 9-11.

We keep trying to tell them this....but they won't listen. Maybe that IS all they really care about.

Beating OM is hardly all we care about.

I'll take 9 wins and a Top 15 ranking anytime. For OM and State, that's a pretty big deal--Since the early 1960's, State has done it only twice and OM has accomplished both only 3 times. If it becomes a habit, THEN I'll worry about becoming a "top team in the SEC".

OM has other things to worry about: 4-8 and a #84 Sagarin ranking, worse than SEVEN different I-AA/FCS teams (Jacksonville State was #118, btw).

The bulk of the 2000s maybe? SEC west champs in 2000, SEC champs in 2004, within a game of winning the west most years from 2000 - 2007.

CTT kept Dye and Lowder at arm's length during that period, and the majority of the assistants were his BBQ buddies tha came with him from OM. I can't say one way or the other about what is going on with AU recruiting the last couple of seasons (although I doubt that if there is anything shady going on it is as widespread as soome want to make it out to be) but I don't think anone can say there was anything shady or outside the norm going on in the Tuberville years.

According to Mullen he won the in state recruiting battle because he signed more MS players, even though we signed all the top players

Whitehead to Auburn makes NO SENSE at all. He said for almost a year he wanted to play in Mississippi so his family and friends could watch him play. He also said numerous times he wanted to play with his friends such as Johnson, Moncrief, etc...

You Auburn guys sure know how to sweep things under the rug in regards to recruiting.

Miss. St. fans...

Not our problem ya'll's class is awful. Since ya'll paid Cecil Newton, why couldn't ya'll fork up some more money and pay some players to come there that are actually good?

Thats about an ASININE statement that you could make. We lost CJ and 4 star PJ Jones switched from Ole Miss to us. We lost Whitehead and we never had Tobias and everybody in the country knew about a day after Brassel commited that he was not comfortable with his decision. We kept Joe Morrow a 4 star 6ft 5 WR. So to make it seem like we lost everybody we went after is just dumb. I hate we lost the guys we did but besides CJ, none of them was a suprise what so ever.

Actually PJ Jones was never an Ole Miss commit... And good luck with that 3 td favorite especially since your losing your starting LT and all of Croom's awesome players are gone!

Correct. He was a slight lean for a short period at most. Tupelo is a strong MSU town as far as schools go.
