So that's the only thing that you can come up with when comparing schools?

And do you honestly think "setting apart" is always better?

No just saying, we're not really known for academics except in a few select fields like accounting and forensic chemistry I think. We're not really known for football except for people who can remember the 60s. We've never been to the SEC champ game. I mean what is there appealing to a fan about our school without traditions? Sure maybe we'll get one or two more recruits every once in a while who ignorantly thought we were racist before. But most who think we're racist haven't been to the campus or met anyone around the school.

I put in bold what you should be more worried about than defending Col. Rebel. He sure as hell didn't get us there.

Did you know that our football team has literally done NOTHING worth substance with the foam-headed Col. Rebel on the sidelines? Our "glory years" saw a guy dressed in a Confederate Uni roaming the sidelines. Are you going to now push for that mascot to be on the field? Col. Reb supporters keep talking about honoring traditions but they never seem to mention honoring the mascot before their version of Col. Rebel.
