. And you better get a plan B- Mackey wont last long weighing 175 pounds

everyone says this every year with running QB's. No one thought Tebow would last four years running the way he did. No one thought Cam would make it through the season. And no one thought Masoli would last in the SEC. We return our entire line, not just the starters, but everyone who is listed under offensive lineman. The same bunch that gave up the least amount of sacks this year. Mackey will be fine, sparing freak accident. It is football

I think TheOtherWhiteMeat hit it on the head.

Both LSU and Arkansas will be better than Alabama on offense and defense IMO.

in 2010, Alabama's OL gave up nearly twice as many sacks as either team's OL, and the Tide defense is last in sacks and TFL this year.

Nutt has admitted that he did not have his team prepared and conditioned well enough this year and vowed to make this off season a living hell to separate the people here to play football and the ones who arent going to put 100% into it

Thats crazy. Nutts should be fired for saying that. Saying they are going to coach harder because they lost last season is ridiculous. If they arent putting everything into it each season, then thats crazy.

Imagine Saban, Mullen, hell even Miles saying "I didnt coach as hard as I should have this year"

Thats just a BS copout excuse- kinda like Nutts saying "I didnt realize the importance of a rivalry" between State and Mississippi

Sorry Miss fans, this isn't bitter from me, but Coonass's statement above is DEAD on.

I know, but the fact of the matter is he is our coach for at least the next 12 months. I'm not going to let a coach of a team I love ruin it for me. I think we have better talent back on defense. You don't have to believe it, as a matter of fact I don't expect you too. But I'm going to find reasons to be optimistic and get excited for football come August regardless of who our coach is.

We return 7 of the 10 deep, with 3 starters coming back, and a back-up Center that started 3 games in 2010 for one of the guys we are losing. This group will be very good again.

Yes. I do believe they will be good, just not as good as this year. It looks very similiar to our 08' to 09' offensive line. We returned 5 of our top 7 lineman, but lost Jerry and Oher which were our two best similiar to yall. And losing a superstar LT hurts more than you know. Like I said, yall will be good at the OL, just not as good. Now I didnt realize that Heavens and Clark were just sophomores. So yes all your skills people return, which means even though your OL might not be quite as good your offense could improve. The only thing that keeps me from thinking yall are going to be better next year is that your key elements on offense and defense that made you so good this year are gone. And most of the time you dont know how important something is until its gone. It looks very similiar to the 08 to 09 OM transition. Return a lot, but lose key players. OM= Oher, Peria, Wallace. Those three players made such a huge difference and we didnt realize how key they were to our success until they were gone. Luckily Mccluster went ape shite and we still won 9 games.

Im predicting state to finishe 3rd or 4th in the west next year FWIW

youre fairly new so you might not have been aware, but an OM player died this summer and Nutt said that affected his team management a lot. I can see why. Its a sensitive matter, and its difficult to handle. He died right before summer workouts and supposedly that softened Nutt's condition and the teams focus. Nutt wasnt as tough on his team, which resulted in lesser preparation and less discipline. We had 6 players suspended or dismissed this year and we werent in shape until the UK game. I truly believe come BYU game we will have a very disciplined, motivated, and hard playing team. We might not be more talented defensively, but we will play harder

Here is my unbiased prediction:

Auburn: Will not be as good as this year as they are losing many seniors and a couple juniors to the NFL. Regardless they will go undefeated for the second straight year and win the SEC and National Championship.

Alabama: Lose several key players to the NFL and possibly coaches as well. If coach Lil Bit stays he will undoubtedly suspend a player for a complete game only to lift the suspension half way through the game (ala La Monroe 2007). He will also call a fake punt on the first possession on 4th and 20 miles deep in turd territory in the biggest game of the year and it will again be unsuccessful (ala Texas 2010) and this time it will cost the team the game. Alabama will be lucky to be bowl eligible.

Arkansas: Will lose their enitre team aka Ryan Mullett to the NFL draft and Petrino will probably leave as well to coach in the arena league. Razorback fans will realize that everyone looked like John Elway against Auburn's secondary in 2010 and that Tyler Wilson actually sucks. Arkansas will be lucky to be bowl eligible.

LSU: Will have alot of talent as always. Miles will make up for all of his luck in 2010 and be fired half way through the season. He will take his $20 million payout and join Petrino's arena league staff as the offensive coordinator. LSU will not be bowl eligible. Even though LSU will have a losing record, Mettenburger will win the Heisman due to his integrity.

Mississipi State: Mullens will be gone without a doubt. Greg Knox will be head coach/offensive coordinator/RB coach/WR coach/LB coach/Special teams coach. Jackie Sherill will be defensive coordinator/QB coach/TE coach/D Line coach/Secondary coach. These will be the only two coaches State can hire. State will follow up its best season ever without winning a game. Obviously, State will not be bowl eligible.

Ole Miss: Houston Nutt will resurrect the Ole Miss Rebel Black Brown Bears. Their only loss of the season will be at Auburn. They will play in the Sugar Bowl as the SEC replacement since Auburn is in the National Championship

not sure which is worse, your post, or the fact that you bumped the thread so you could make the crappy post.

I appreciate the compliment, but Auburn isn't going to lose just 1 game next year, it's wishful thinking. And MSU isn't going to lose 6. There's no way in Hell Bama loses 5.

I think I need to go to bed, it seems stupid comes out late...I don't like that guy.

most people predicted auburn to be a 4 loss team this year.

MSU may not have their coach next year, Bama should have lost to Arkansas too this year if not for Mallet choking.

And SC would have beaten Auburn in the regular season if Garcia doesn't choke in the 4th. And MSU might beat AU if that receiver doesn't drop a wide open pass with under a minute on 3rd and 10.
"Should have" doesn't work in college football.
There were PLENTY of things Alabama could have done to make it a wider margin against Arkansas as well. That kind of logic is severely flawed.

We all need OM to go 6-6 so Hootie can get one more year. That will always an easy win with Hootie in place.

I think we win 5 or 6 games, but should at least be more competitive if QB ends up being an ok position for us. Our line is returning and we have a pretty decent stable of RB's. We need to fill some spots on D, but we will be more experienced in the defensive backfield, which should help. We lose some on D line, but they didn't do much this year anyways. Hopefully Lockett gets his medical redshirt. That will still probably put us at last in the West as tough as it is, unless we win a couple that surprise me...

Yep, it's been so easy for Arky since he went to OM. Ya'll have beaten us everytime, right?
