Yes, which COULD BE interpreted the other 9 teams are pretty good ... But when you factor in 80 percent of ALL SEC OOC games are against BAD TEAMS ... and 75 percent of all OOC games are home games ... Sorta looks like playing the 4-9 WAC schools to me ... and we know how much respect THEY get ... Why does the SEC get respect for beating the same level of competition with many scoring 2-3-4 TDs ???? Winning those games (31-1 vs. FCS and nonAQ) leads to inflated records and gives the impression ALL SEC teams are good and as a result of that beating EACH OTHER has more value to the voters ... It is a self-perpetuating myth based upon an incestuous relationship ... IF THEY ARE SO DAMN GOOD ... go on the road and beat people ... dont hide behind cheerleaders skirts and say ... we dont have to cause our league games are so tough ... Tell ya ... there isnt an SEC team alive that could go 4-0 versus TCU, BSU, Utah, and Nevada ... 2 at home and 2 on the road ... NONE .. not Auburn ... not Bama ... NONE !!!!

LMFAO. I hope he isn't a Boise fan. When does Boise ever travel for OOC games. To Georgia? Yeah we saw what happened there. Funny how everything he said in that post basically sums up Boise.

Remember that is from a fanbase at a program who intentionally overcharges legitimate programs to play them. That is done with the intent of not having to play a tough OOC schedule.

I'm sure if Boise played a rigorous 8 game SEC schedule, they would still seek out games against WVU, UNC, Oregon, etc.....

The SEC is 19-7 in BCS games and 6-0 in BCS title games.
Maybe there is something to that stat....

LSU > BSU
USCe >/= TCU
UGA > Nevada
MSU > Utah
AU = 4-0
Now if AU beats bama then it is:
LSU > BSU
Bama > TCU
USCe > Nevada
MSU, UGA both > Utah
Then you can throw in Clemson, Ole Miss, UK etc vs Boise playing Northwestern Idaho A&M or whoever...
Dude needs to rethink his BS.

If their stadiums could hold 90,000 fans we would go on the road but no they hold 30,000...it's a money issue. These little schools can't guarantee the money we make in SEC/ home games. Thus many SEC teams are now going to Atlanta and Dallas to play OOC games.

I don't get this dumbasses point... he's hating on SEC schedules because our teams play between 9 & 11 BCS teams each??? Hello... bsu played 2 BCS teams & 10 others. Brilliant logic IMO...

Well...TCU was suppose to play us in 2009....but backed out to play an ACC team. Even though it was just a verbal agreement...they should have kept it and played an SEC team.

I think he was (wrongly) saying that SEC teams are only ranked so high because they play each other and none are really any good, that it's just some myth that keeps perpetuating. Terrible logic, considering the SEC's bowl record.

The Boise poster is probably right that most SEC teams (if any) would get through those 4 teams undefeated. Utah isn't very good this year, but the other 3 teams are very good. If you're playing 2 of them on the road, then the chances of running the table are very small. However, I don't understand what he's proving because Boise doesn't have a schedule like that. They played terrible teams almost every week. Hawaii and Nevada are your toughest two conference games. That isn't good. VT was a good win, however after they lost to James Madison it just isn't that great when that was your Super Bowl.
It actually makes the point of why Boise doesn't deserve to play in the BCS game though. Just looking at Alabama's schedule does anyone think Boise would have won these 5: Auburn, Florida, Miss State, @USCe, @LSU, and @Arkansas. That stretch is harder than the games the original poster mentioned. You've got 5 top 25 teams, 2 top 5 teams, 3 road games against top 20 teams... most teams are going to drop a game with that schedule. Add to that a team like Auburn has to beat Alabama and then beat USCe a second time to get to the BCS game. It is a gauntlet. Boise may have the best team but how can you prove it playing such weak games every week. I think Boise can play with anyone, just not every week. They only have to do it once or twice a year.
Statistically you're going to drop a game if you play all good teams unless you get really lucky. You can be favored and have a 75% chance of winning every game and still drop a game because they actually play the games. Boise is playing teams that they have a 99% chance to beat. They're a good team but when people say they have a 1 game season, it's hard to say that 1 game should earn you a spot in a game. Anyone can prepare for 1 game, not any team can sustain the performance while playing good teams every week. That is why it is so rare for an NFL team to win every game. Even the worst NFL team can beat you on a given Sunday.

I'd venture to say that there are 6 teams in the SEC right now that would have a very good shot at running the table on those four cupcakes.

pretty funny how he says 80% of the SEC's OOC games are garbage, when 100% of Boise's in-conference games are garbage.
so....
so....
