So, you are saying that Auburn is corrupt ?

If you are saying that Auburn = a handful of powerful and corrupt boosters, then yes, I guess Auburn is corrupt.

But, Auburn is so much more than that. Students, alumni, overall good people who love college football and their university. Auburn fans (by and large) are generally humble and realistic. They live in Bama's shadow day in and day out and they are Auburn fans because they choose to be, not because they are bandwagoners. Yeah, they have a bit of a chip on their shoulder, but if you saw the abuse that they got from the majority in Alabama who are Tide fans, you would understand it a bit more. Being an LSU fan, I am able to objectively observe the fanbases and can say that I kind of feel bad for Auburn fans in Alabama. LSU fans in Louisiana don't get it. It is an entirely different dynamic.

There is a lot of Auburn "hating" going on right now. If we have really read Tuna's epic thread, we know that this isn't the Auburn community. It is a handful of people who have made Auburn their plaything and are destroying the university. That's a shame, no matter how you look at it, all football rivalries aside.

I don't think anyone is claiming these people are corrupt.

Ala Tiger has hit the nail on the head. Auburn overall (and Bama) are the best road trips for me. Their fans for the most part are just like our LSU folks. We just want to win and run a good clean program. Can't blame the fan base for this but a few big wigs. I'm sure the same thing could happen in Baton Rouge.
