If we had the defense we had last year, yes. McCarron takes a lot more risks than McElroy - which naturally will produce more turnovers. Our defense isn't good enough to make up for more turnovers than we are already committing.

The only reason why McElroy doesn't turn the ball over is because 90% of his pass attempts are under ten yards. Our offense is completely handcuffed by the fact that our QB is unable to complete throws that 90% of starting Division 1-A QBs should be able to make.
Do me a favor please? STFU.

Jarrett Lee is 10x the QB that McElroy is.

No! The kid has no decent experience. Why in the world would you replace a qb that has lost one game and won you a NC?
I hate to say it but at Alabama the fans think the qb on the bench is better than the one the coaches pick.

And you think what we have now is better?
Yes. While he does hold onto the ball too long sometimes a sack is way better than an INT

There's a difference between taking a sack every once in a while and being so gunshy that he refuses to take any chances downfield. I mean, Jason Campbell put up pretty good numbers with the Redskins last year but everybody with two eyes could see that he was a subpar QB.

Dude give it the frick up. McElroy went through the same little slump last year and came back and some excellent games.

Wrong. McElroy went through the same gigantic slump last year and came back and had ONE excellent game. ONE. Not playing like a complete piece of crap against Mississippi State and Auburn doesn't qualify as excellent.

You and any other Bama fan(s)looking for or even entertaining the thought of a quarterback change are a joke. The guy loses his first game since the fricking 8th grade, is a possible future Rhodes Scholar and a proven leader and you want to entertain the thought at benching him???
I can only imagine what your thought process will be if/when Bama drop another game(s) this year.
Keep this shite on Finebaum's radio show, b/c that's where Bama's (idotic portion) fanbase come together and spew idiotic, moronic statments like yours.

He did enough against AU to go down the field and win the game when the running game wasn't working

Thank you daphnetigah, I agree completely with all of our post.

fIrst of all I am not an idiot this forum is for discussion. The loss has nothing to do with my question. If you could look
past the w/l and see that our running game is nonexistant with a heisman win ing rb and a back up that some not me think is better. This is about the offense performing better thatn it has to date. Sometimes when your defense can't keep people out of the endzone you have to take chances and I don't see Greg giving us that option. I am not bashing the kid but for you and a couple of others to call someone an idiot for a differing opinion is awefully childish and small minded of you. I just asked a question?

Do you even watch any college football games that doesn't include Auburn? I mean I could say the same thing about how Auburn treated Tommy Tuberville. The guy comes to Auburn when their program was completely dysfunctional, does a great job building them back up, has more success against Alabama in the Iron Bowl than any other Auburn coach in recent memory and how do important boosters thank him for his effort? They humiliate him by flying in Bobby Petrino for an interview while Tubberville was still their coach and force him out after one bad season. Classy.

That's juust it he isn't playing great. I am not saying he is horrible but our offense is suffering and our OL is playing well Richardson and Ingram aren't any different but him supposedly not making mistakes which isn't true is just not enough.
