Do you want to tailgate in the grove? Or a parking lot?

Try to get a spot just off the grove if possible. Less restrictive. But if the Grove is where you want, here's an easy way to not get in trouble.

1. Don't drink beer out of the bottle or can. Poor it into a cup(poor it inside of the cooler though). If they "see" the beer can or bottle, they make you poor everything out.

2. If you leave the tent unattended at anytime, bring a lock and chain and lock your cooler closed. Policy states that unattended coolers are subject to a search and any alcohol poored out. If they can't open it.....they can't search it.

You're allowed to set-up at 5 pm on Friday. No sooner.

It all depends on your state of mind. If you come to the Grove like most LSU fans with the "Alright, prove to me why this is so great" mentality, you'll be disappointed.

Show up, be courteous, and have fun. This is a big rivalry game(to us, at least), so don't come in with an attitude. Introduce yourself to your tailgating neighbors and crack jokes about Bama and it'll make for a great time.

I'm pretty sure it's a game by game thing.

Not supposed to be. Some Gumps were dicks and set up before 5.

Sure you can do this.......just don't be surprised if you find shite missing.

It's a policy with a "Gentleman's Rule" to it. You wait out of respect to others, but you'll be punished by "street justice"

False.

You can drink yourself into a stupor, just conceal the evidence.

First of all, people start putting up their tents at 4:00 pm on Friday, so if you want a good spot, try to be there by then, but I'm sure you'll be able to get a good spot as long as you set up your tent before 6:00 or 7:00.

And in previous years they cared about having alcohol, but now its not that big of a deal. Just try and have it in a red solo cup.

Actually, its been more toward 4:00, contrary to popular belief that it is 5:00 when you can set up. I work right by the Grove on Friday, and by 4:00 everyone is putting up their tents.

Beer is illegal (on campus) on the books.
Hard liquor is legal.

Beer is defacto legal, you just have to conceal the evidence. Thus the red solo cups.

Get to the Grove by 3:30 on Friday. This is when they let people start setting up for the bama game.

Pad lock on the cooler (also prevents theft of precious booze). Drink till your hearts content but keep it in a cup.

thanks ahead of time.

Can I give you a gfy two weeks early?
