Have an Ole Miss buddy that sent me a copy of a post that was on an Ole Miss board........it broke down every player Coach O signed and where they were at........this is how it broke down:

*For the 3 recruiting classes of Ed 0rgeron, 72 players still have eligibility.

*Of those 72 players, 36 have left the program.

*50% of eligible players are no longer at OM.

*Of those 36 remaining players, only 7 of those players are OL.

He recruited the skill players and d-lineman like no ones business. But wasnt smart enough to realize that the O-line is the backbone of your team.

Not to mention he recruited the dumbest mother frickers on the planet. Hoping that our boosters would buy their grades or something.

Damn I wish we were good at cheating.

this is true.

I'll give him credit for being able to bring in decent talent to OM after a 4 win season and coaching change. But overall, he was a bit over-rated as a recruiter.

Reason I ask was there was a interesting pic that showed the amount of players signed and transferred.

The first four schools that had the most had new coaching changes.State,arkansas,OM,auburn. Not sure in which order it was.

Not really. He was one recruit (Joe McKnight) away from saving his job.

He would have lost that State game with or without recruiting Joe McKnight.

And that alone would have still gotten him fired. I think that if he won.......it would have been a very tough decision. Especially after Nutt expressed interest after the Arky game.

Nah. O gave up on him. When he thought LSU was making a strong push for him, he called up ole Pettie and told him to give McKnight a holler.

He just wanted to make sure that he didn't go to LSU.

ehh I dunno. Our recruiting classes are right up there with Bama and USC's every year. LSU isn't playing poorly because of our classes thats for sure
