You asked a question. You didn't answer mine.

The truth is that if Kiffy had led the Raiders to anything remotely positive the Vols would be touting it left and right.

To answer your question: Saban and Spurs failed at the NFL. However, they have a bit more on their resume than just the NFL. Your coach has little more than a famous father and a small spot under Petey's sack.

Look, I'm happy some of you Vols are excited about your program again. Just don't pretend that it is a given that Kiffin will be your savior. You have no idea at this point.

You say he is great for the program for recruiting so far. That's great. I hope you are competitive again somewhere in the near future regardless of who your coach is in 3 years.

I would rather have Ray Goff than Lane Kiffin because Goff actally won some games at Georgia.

Wow you dudes must be pretty damn short for my argument to go over your head.

I'm not comparing Kiffin to Saban or Spurrier in any way other than the fact that they all were bad NFL coaches, which in fact proves that the NFL means shite BECAUSE Saban and Spurrier have college NC rings.

Which brings me back to my origninal point.

Lane Kiffin

0-0.

I get what your saying, but it can go either way. His actions don't speak of a Coach experienced enough to know the landscape for which he is coaching and recruiting. That may have worked in california, but the SEC is a different breed. He did recruit well and surround himself with good support staff, but so did Ron Zook. I know he says he did those things on purpose, but in the long run I don't think it spells success. I could be wrong, who knows. I admire you for sticking by a coach. Hell, I defended Zook for 2 years before I admitted defeat. Just from experience I don't think this will end well for Tennessee.

No, because he wouldn't be a UT if he did. It's a non-sequitur.

just be thankful you guys didn't hire Chizik. I would have been worried if you guys or Auburn had hired Turner Gill.

Thankfully it doesn't really matter if you're worried about a hire or not. All that matters is results. Results so far:

2009 Recruiting Class: Top 10
2009 Season: TBA
2010 Recruiting Class: TBA
2010 Season TBA: TBA

Yep, you're right, bad hire.

It will be settled stating in 16 days. I am right that Kiffin won't last though. Trust I lived through a similar pain.

Dear lord. It's like speaking with my 5 year old.

See you in September when you can add one to the right column. Actually the Vols may get charged for 2 losses in that one.
