Unfortunately we had different stripes this year. But i'm with you on that, I loved those shoulder stripes.

Wonder why they decided to only have the stripes halfway around like that?

every few years we have changed them. I think Coach O changed them once or twice. Can't remember if we changed them this past year or not.

But I wish we could go back to them.

That was a jersey maufacturer design change. LSU's have been like that for almost 10 years now, as are most of the college and pro teams that have vertical shoulder stripes.

The top half (shoulder and sleeve) of the jersey is made out of a different material and they stop the shoulder stripes where the two different materials join together. From a design point of view, the shorter stripes make the jersey more form fitting and tighter in the shoulder area, though the Nike jersey's that Ole Miss wear do appear to be a little too loose and baggy. Even LSU's haven't looked as clean in the last few years. Nike really needs to get their shite together. It's not rocket science. Seems like maunfacturing a football jersey that is functional and looks good wouldn't be that hard, but all the uniform companies (Nike, Adidas, Russell, UnderArmour, Reebok) seem to be having a hard time doing that to some degree. Most can't even build a jersey that will stay tucked in to the pants......
