I didn't read past the first page, so I'm sure this has been mentioned, but Dre's mom bought him the car when he graduated. Parents sometimes buy cars for their kids, especially when they have a college fund and the kid gets a scholarship.

Do any AU players have cars, or do they ALL ride mopeds?

Dre's parents make GOOD money, and bought the car for him for a graduation gift. They're not having to pay for college. This isn't any different than a rich white kid getting a Tahoe or 4runner for graduation, and I think the reason the Auburn fans are up in arms is because Dre was a highly recruited black kid, and he shouldn't have been able to afford it. At least, that's the way it comes across to me - because they wouldn't have a reason to be suspicious if they thought he could afford it.

What a crock of shite. I hope they bought him two of them.

I make decent money and all my poor kid got for graduation was a laptop computer.

Wonder how much he resents me for not providing him a sweet, sweet ride?

Who gave Dakota Mosely his ride? Dodge Charger? It is in the Police Report. Maybe listed under a current coach? Watch it now! Hush yo mouth

Current University of Alabama policy regarding the personal vehicles student-athletes:

Each year, All student-athletes at the University of Alabama are required to complete a thorough questionnaire regarding any vehicle they will have on campus. They must describe in detail the make/model of their vehicle, when it was purchased, who has legal title to the vehicle, whether the purchase was financed and who financed it, the source of money if the vehicle was paid for in cash, and who pays for the insurance, license and registration. They must also provide a photograph of the vehicle.

Any grey area and the vehicle never comes on campus. No ifs. No ands. No buts. If there are any red flags whatsoever, there is an internal compliance investigation. Source: University of Alabama compliance Office, 205-348-3615.

These policies don’t just apply to football players, either. It goes for Women’s basketball and Men’s swimming, too. Track and field? Check. Water polo? Check. Golf? You get the idea.

So you're claiming that Dre is currently driving a car that has Mike Young, listed as the owner, on the car title?

And Dre had an autograph signing session at a car dealership when he was in high school? Not for nothing, but who the hell would want some 17 year old's autograph?

It has been clearly implied by some bama fans right in this here forum that the Moron 4 were arrested in a vehicle rented for them by Coach Trooper Taylor.

Please endeavor to get your facts straight and do try to keep up, please.

Seriously, if I saw Dre tomorrow, I wouldnt ask him for his autograph. Don't know why anybody would have wanted it when he was a nobody in high school either.

Is the Dre K charger BS rumor the best y'all could dig up to distract from the latest AU/NCAA fiasco? This one has already been covered. I think some new fantasy is in order to cover the "Ramsey Talks to the NCAA" attention.

I love this story.

What about Dre Kirk hints at being college material much less being worthy of a college fund and FTR I'm pretty sure a year at Gadsden State CC to learn auto body work doesn't cost more than 3 or 4k tops. I can see it now.

Ma dis trade skew aint gota nuff swag.

Judging by your sentence structure, I'd think you were an expert on "trade skew".

But, to clarify, are you saying Dre's mom didn't have a college fund for him? And, if so, where did you get this info?

Yes that is what I'm saying. Common sense. Without athletics Dre never sees the inside of a college classroom. You know it, I know it and anybody with a functional brain knows it so keep that college fund story on the Bama sites where it belongs.

So, what you're saying is, you don't KNOW shite, and you're just making broad generalizations that fit what you want to believe?

There are a lot of racists on here insinuating that a black family can't afford a decent car for their son.
