How long does the Meyer/ UF juggernaut last??

Does he have a run that is similar to Steve Spurrier's run in the 90s?
Keep in mind that he has already surpassed Steve in National Championships and his winning percentage at this point in his career is very close to what Steve Spurrier's was going into his 5th season.
When UF made this hire in 2005 I stated that UF had hit the jackpot on this hire and was lambasted and ridiculed like crazy.
In the 1990s, Steve Spurrier's dominance was in large part due to SEC defenses having no answer for his offensive system. Does Meyer's spread eventually do the same thing?

The spread, like all offenses, will eventually die off, but UF will be a MNC contender as long as UM is the coach, IMNSHO.

It all goes in cycles as we all know, except for some of our more unfortunate SEC brothers.
The days of long periods of domination are over though. Not many coaches stay long enough any more to do it. And, if they do stay, they can't keep up the pace in recruiting. It has to be tiring to suck up to 18 year old prima donnas year after year.

It ends with Tebow??? There is no other quarterback that can succeed at FL with Coarch Meyers' offense???

Meyer has shown to be able to adapt his offense to various pressures he faces. He changed his offense leaving a running back in the back field for protection when at first he didn't. As long as he changes his offense, for the better, he'll run a strong program. When he stops adapting is when his time is over.

It won't end with Tebow. Lots of high schools are running spread offenses, he'll be able to get more quarterbacks to run his system.

Brantley, who will replace Tebow, is a damn good QB with plenty of mop up experience. So they'll still be very good after Tebow.

Without Tebow, Meyer wouldnt be where he is now, as far as wins and rings. They wouldnt have won the NC last year.
After this year, I see Fla going back to losing 2 to 4 games a year. (unless he gets another Tebow, which is unlikely)
He may win another SECC or two and then he bolts for ND.

After Tebow leaves UF will still be really good, BUT they will not be as good. Tebow is a special player and Meyer has benefitted from having him.
At the same rate, Tebow has benefitted from Meyer. Everything has lined up for Florida to be dominate. Much like it has for the past several National Chammpions.
Would Ohio St.'s Championship come against this Florida team?
Could this Florida have beaten USC with Leinart, Bush, and White?
Ohio St. and USC are still really good, but it's Florida's time right now. I see Florida experiencing the same "drop." If you can really call it that. FLorida will compete year after year, as long as Meyer is there. I just wouldn't expect them to be as good going forward without Tebow.

Brantley isn't anywhere close to the threat Tebow is.. UF may still be good but Tebow is the player that puts them over the top

No and yes.
Not even close.
They couldnt handle the SEC defense's on almost any year.

Maybe I'm being blinded by the orange and blue but UF will still compete for the SEC after Tebow leaves, though depending on how much of our D stays we may be looking at another 2007 in 2010. However I think Brantley will win at least 1 SEC title as a starter and in so doing make the gators a national title contender.

well yeah, i full expect UF to compete for the SEC every year that urban is there. i don't expect UF to maintain 2 NC's in 3 years, and very possibly 3 in 4. that takes a special player like tebow and a lot of luck. there are two many great coaches and too many great recruits in the SEC

Fla will still win and compete for SEC titles but they wont be the force they are now with Tebow. They will lose 2 to 4 most every year without Tebow.

I don't understand how everyone thinks they'll drop off just because Tebow leaves. He'll find a quarterback who can fit his system. He can recruit his pick of the litter in the state of Florida. They'll be fine.
