Alot of people are aware that Nutt was pressured out of Arkansas after the 07 season. It was probabally a voluntary firing type of thing. But the problem I seem to be hearing about is how Hog fans are so upset he went to a division rival.
His first year was a great year for Ole Miss, while Arkansas first year post-Nutt was rather poor. Of course Arkansas fans have that built in "cupboard left bare "excuse. or "Oregeron who went 0-8 in the conference left him with a ton of talent".
But here is what I want to know. If Nutt beats Arkansas this year in oxford the excuse still stands. But what if he comes back to Fayetteville in 2010 and wins? How much is riding on that game? By the 3rd year, there should be no more excuses right? What if he comes in and wins by 3 touchdowns after he beat them the first 2 years? What are talk shows and message boards saying? what are national columnists like Tim Brando saying? Are Arkansas fans burning up the cars outside the stadium? is it an all out riot?

I doubt this situation happens unless Petrino bolts.

OM fans generally have little to no beef with Arky. Arky fans are so gone off about Nutt that they hate/despise OM and are trying to create a rivalry.

What rivalry?
Hell, i'm glad OM took him.
I have nothing against OM just the MSM.

What if your aunt had balls?
The only people who are upset about Nutt leaving are Nutt fans, not Hog fans. The overwhelming majority of Hog fans are very happy he left. . . anywhere. The only thing that would have made me any happier is if he landed at LSU or Florida. I think most of us see him as a mediocre coach at best.
As for the 2010 game in Fayetteville, you might want to put the cart back behind the horse. First of all, should all the stars align, and Ole Miss does really well this year, you may be looking for a coach. If you think Petrino is the only coach looking out the side of his face for greener pastures, keep thinking. You might want to look a little closer into Hootie's tenure at Arkansas.
Second, you might want to spend your time praying that you don't go 0 for October or November. Hootie had a few of those at Arkansas. Although I know you rebs are used to this kind of losing, I wonder how you'll react after being so pumped coming into this season.
Sorry for feeding the troll here guys, but maybe he can learn to be happy with Hootie even though very few here in Arkansas are upset he's gone.
