a funny story I just heard about Clowney that I'm shocked I never knew.
Evidently, it was first day of practice in pads his freshman year...so that's about his 5th overall practice.
Coaches send him out with the ones and first snap he gets through so damn fast that garcia had only taken 1 step back with the ball and Clowney was on him.
From the way it was told, Coach blows the whistle and immediately took Clowney out and he never again practiced with the ones. Ever!! He practiced with the twos so they could actually get stuff done.

I remember in college going to a house party on Friday and Saturday nights. This one girl I knew from my hometown who was an absolute smokeshow was at the Friday night party with Connor Shaw and the Saturday night party with Dylan Thompson. Starting quarterback one night and the back up quarterback the next night. Always made me laugh.

One time there was a Georgia player from Maryland and it was his first summer living here.
I asked him if he's "had any problem with the heat since he's been here," and his replay was "Naw. So far everybody's been skraight."

Ryan Succop was the nicest guy in our program back when I was in school. He was friends with several of my fraternity brothers from Hickory and was at our fraternity house all the time. He was not a partier like some of the guys were. My parents saw him at a tailgate with my brother several years ago and said the same thing.

Dan Campbell's Bonfire speech in 1998.

I took a class with a couple football players in the Spring of 1999.
We had just played Texas in the Cotton Bowl and Ricky Williams just ran at will. First class meeting, a professor asked one of the players if he was the one that Ricky Williams struck the Heisman pose on.

Garcia was friends with my brother in college. My brother is a loyal as hell guy, but also a little socially awkward. I have always appreciated Stephen for being a good human in that way. Those two would play COD together. honestly, I can still hit up stephen and chat with him about anytime
ill also add for all the crap Stephen gets (mostly deserved), he has remained a gamecock, and is still down to talk to just about anyone.

Stress fractures and feet issues really set him back..
That's the honest truth..

People said that about Audrey Bruce after he was drafted as well, and while he didn’t live up to the #1 draft status, the dude played 12 seasons in the NFL. Hardly a bust.
