The SEC has 2. Texas isn't a blue blood. They're 1 tier below with Michigan.

1- Alabama
2- Ohio St
3- Oklahoma
4- Notre Dame
5- USC

Silly list. They got 1st right, but that isn’t difficult.

With Oklahoma’s addition there’s 2 Blue Bloods in the SEC. Thats it, no Texas isn’t one and isn’t close if you ask me, both LSU and Georgia would have a better claim.

Bama
Notre Dame (a fact I really hate btw)
Southern Cal
Ohio State
Michigan

I had always said Nebraska was one, but sadly I’ll have to remove them from the list, as not only haven’t they been relevant in a couple decades, they’ve been mired in mediocrity for most of it.

Tennessee is not a friggin blue blood. That name means nothing anymore.
Tennessee owns LSU lifetime and the last time they played. They ran you out of your own stadium. You're a joke. Your football team is a joke. Your coach has never won a major bowl game.

One of the worst lists of any kind I've ever seen. Like a 5th grader who knows absolutely nothing about football created this.

I can't take a list seriously that has us tied with BYU in prestige lol

That's just downright egregious.

Same is true for their ranking of Oregon and Virginia Tech ahead of Auburn. Auburn beats those two programs in every measurable category.

That is kind of a strange article but I think it is stating that the top 12 are bluebloods?

If so, SEC has 5 and B1G has 5. ACC has FSU and ND is the other

I personally think the whole claim of a team being a 'blue blood' is...dumb. As mentioned by others there's no real criteria and it's just a made up title for programs with rich tradition.

This list is screwed up because the list is simply "10 win seasons"... and the author should have left it at that.

As you say... "Blue Blood" connotates "royalty"... which is championships and "old money and status" which means that your ancient titles are still part of the equation.

Thus a team like Nebraska is still a "blue blood" simply because they have more titles than all but a handful of schools.

But they also demonstrate another phenomenon and that is how old money disappates with generations (ie: Nebraska hasn't been elite in twenty years).

In real life I was reading about a family reunion recently of the Vanderbilts. There were like 200 of them at the reunion. None of them were millionaires because the family money had been divided so much. So basically that is what happened to Nebraska.

LSU is more elite than Tennessee and way more elite than PSU. And PSU only has 2 titles not 4. Wonder what else was fudged.
You're full of shite.

We own your asses on the field. The dancing bitch had his arse handed to him by halftime last time we met.

21-10-3

40-13 in the overarted dump known as Dead Valley.

Why not?

There is absolutely nothing "prestigious" about LSU.

The metric should be number of 15 win seasons.

How is Nebraska 6? They haven’t had a good team in 20 years. These all time lists are always stupid. Football has evolved. You have to break it down by eras. For a ling time Army was THE football program. Now they aren’t. LSU was bad in the 90s. 3 titles since 2000. Ignoring the evolution of the landscape of CFB creates a horrible list. Alabama is probably the only one you can put at #1 on the all time list.

From your school’s website

Tenn is 3-7 vs LSU in the last ten matchups. Last 2 games in Knoxville were blowout LSU wins. LSU won 5 in a row up to 2017 and had 2 head to head SEC championships over Tenn in 2001 and 2007. What have y’all done better than LSU in football in the last 30 years? Nothing.

10 of Tenn’s series wins were from 1934 to 1959. Since then, the series is not remotely the same.

agree with the top 3 but beyond that is debatable. The fact that the author can't count to 5 also hurts credibility.

If we're putting LSU at #18, I most certainly wouldn't put UGA at #5. Both are around 9-13 imo. Top 9 is pretty solidly Alabama, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Michigan, Notre Dame, Nebraska, Texas, USC, Penn State and I don't think too many would disagree.

Tennessee used to be a definitive #10 but it's completely up for debate now: I'd probably go 10) Georgia, 11) Tennessee, 12) LSU
