There was 3 reviews.
1. To see if the ruling on the field was correct and runner was out at home. Confirmed
2. Was there malicious intent by the catcher. This took awhile and ejected him.
3rd review. Who all was on the field and who came out of the dugout. This had to be deciphered in its in real bc MS State was exiting the field after the 3rd out and headed to the dugout. Most if not all of the players on the field were ejected simply for heading to the dugout. This was complete BS.

I think it was about 53 minutes. They had to eject a ton of players.
UGA beat writer said he thinks it was only the ones who entered the batting circle that were ejected.
Crazy thing that was overlooked was UGA pitcher had already thrown 50 pitches, sat for over an hour, then came back in and struck out 5 guys to finish it up.

A normal catcher would have celebrated an awesome defensive play that caused the third out by running to the dugout to flex and scream out the rage with his teammates.
Not sure what was going through the head of State's catcher there.
That clown ended up overshadowing what was an amazing defensive play by State. A great recovery and throw by the outfielder with an amazing relay throw to the perfect spot at home, and a hard-nosed stop by the catcher on a hard charging baserunner.
A lot to celebrate there. So, instead, act the @ss against the baserunner who played hard, but also by the book.
Idiot.

Was there spat between the teams last night that led up to that trashy behavior, or is that catcher jealous he has to live in Starkville through college?

It was literally just completely out of nowhere. There wasn’t even much shite talking compared to your average SEC series up to this point

You can tell he's all boostered up. He better skip the next shot

That will be State's narrative, but it is unlikely true.
I think they will eject everyone they can identify that ran into the batter's circle, even if the intent was to defuse the situation. If all of State's players had headed straight to the dugout, only the catcher would be gone.
But a lot of State players, and some coaches, ran into the batter's circle to hold back Long and at least one or two Georgia players who were getting fired up. Might have been a nice thought, but it likely got them ejected.
But to say they were ejected "simply for heading to the dugout" is flat-out incorrect.

That catcher has some issues clearly. At our series he yelled at his pitchers all the time. Also got into it with blue. Something is up with him.

Dakota Jordan ran straight to the dugout and was ejected.
And #9 for Georgia was most definitely in the batters circle egging it on. He was not ejected and was the one who hit the homer in the top of the 9th

Grambling's logo creates anger and animosity?

With some help from the umps. Called strikes a foot off the plate.

A total of 10 players were ejected and presumably have 4 game suspensions. Of that, the meat of states lineup. We had pitchers playing 2 outfield positions. It was a disgrace from Birmingham. It completely altered this game and games to come for no reason.

He felt there was intent to injure on the slide, which would upset anyone, but he can’t act like that on out # 3 of the inning

It was #8 who hit the HR, and both of them had batting helmets on and were allowed to be out there. Branch was on deck and already walking to the circle to help Carter up before the catcher went rage mode. He didn’t egg on shite
