I’m beginning to wonder if the reason we got Stuck with Pittman wasn’t because nobody else wanted it, but because we have an absolute jackass as an AD who is either unwilling or unable to hire a tier 1 coach. Like someone else said, a sun belt coach making sun belt level hires.

I think you may be on to something. This guy absolutely sucks at putting together deals and closing.

Safe to say I hope HY isn't here much longer. What a colossal failure. This hire couldn't have been tee'd up any better.

Like Tang, Pitt contacted HY.
It's like Berts letter to long.
But HY just had to put a standard contract together for Beard to sign and instead he tries to sneak in no compete clauses?
What exactly was in Muss' contract he had all year and didn't sign? You don't raise funds and sell season tickets by running off Muss for a coach like Tang.

so basically takes the path of least resistance and whatever coach is just begging to be given the job. Also, who gives a shite about the non compete clause? If we’re good enough that a better program wants him that’s a good thing! You renegotiate then! I also wonder if that’s partially why he didn’t fire Pittman already. Scared shitless of actually having to go through the football hiring process again.

Reading his show cause stipulations I'm not sure we will touch Wade at this point. He would be under recruiting restrictions as well as not allowed to coach in like half the season or something like that.

I am beginning to think it was never Beard, Tang, or Wade.
In the past our local guys were fed bs and ran with it like it was truth while Hunter conducted the search then let a national guy break it.
Local guys are always out of the loop so never trust their reporting in the early days.
I suspect you see somebody you weren't expecting as our next coach. Think a Gregg Mcdermott type hire.

National guys have reported Beard and Tang, too. I'm very concerned that it's Tang at this point.
