The ASQ awards highlight the world’s best airports as judged by their customers who are surveyed while they are in the airport.

This is the third year in a row MSY has won the top award for their excellent customer service and accommodations

I don't know about best, but it is nice. It's a good size, clean, adequate parking, pretty quick to get through. I have been pleased.

Indianapolis airport is better than Nola. I’ve flown both recently.

The rental car facility alone puts it low on my list. I refuse to fly in there because of the 30 mins it takes to get to and from the rental car facility.

I recently had a layover at Hobby in Houston. My new favorite airport.

I would suggest a big part of this is the fact that MSY is a lot smaller than other "big city" airports. Try walking from one end to the other at O'Hare, DFW, Hartsfield...not to mention you can have your arse planted in your car and on I-10 in about 1/5 of the time it takes to get out of some others.

What makes one airport better than the other? I’m in there to get on a plane not ship, hang out, party, etc.

Any airport that I can walk to my rental car and walk to the airport from parking my car is good by me.

I hate getting home to IAH just to have to ride around on a bus for 45 minutes so each fat arse who can’t remember where they parked can be dropped off at their door.

1. Longest wait for your luggage because of the logistics they set up or lack thereof!

2. Catch a 6am flight in fog season, hold your breadth, they blame it on the fog for delaying your flights, BUT IN ACTUALITY, it’s the infrastructure and something to do with the runway and the lights and controls.

3. When constructing it, they forgot to put the conduits and pre-slab infrastructure in and had to rip up big areas.

That entire award is a joke, MSY was built
With banana republic Politicians subbing out to their DBE cronies.

It went over schedule & over budget!

And those morons didn’t even build a highway exit until years later.

Don’t even mention the approach to the airport looks like your in Honduras and other 3rd would countries.

The airport itself is not bad at all, although a bit small

The surrounding infrastructure is an absolute nightmare

It's great home airport.

Modern
Clean
Short waits
Easy to get in/out

Being its my home base I don't have to deal with the rental car/rideshare issues but to drive in, park, fly out & reverse it is very nice and convenient.

I like how easy it is to get to from BR. If you live in Ascension parish then it’s about 40 or so minutes away.

Convenient to fly to lots of major cities in US. Cheaper to drink there as well compared to other airports.

Is this one of those things where we pay the most to support or advertise
With the voting party? Like all these 225 Magazine or Nola City Business best places to work/eat/live. Those ratings are complete horseshite

It’s probably the best small airport in the country.

There are flaws though. Notice there are ZERO places for traveling individuals to sit down and do work. If you have been to Bush in Houston, every terminal is littered with seating for working travelers. And you can order food from nearly every seat.

As long as the rental car situation exists, no fricking way.

They must be the voters who rented cars and didn't have to look for parking.
