At this point in my Falcons fandom I just expect the complete opposite of whatever a competent franchise would do, it’s worked out for a while now.

This team will suck indefinitely as long as Blank is around. He gets too emotionally attached to people and overlooks their flaws at their jobs. That's why Quinn stuck around so long, it's why they rehired Raheem, it's why Fontenot still has a job, and it's why they took Penix immediately after sinking $100M into a free agent QB.

I'm just not understanding how you could go through rounds and rounds of interviews and hire a guy as incompetent as Fontenot. I honestly reserved judgement until all of these interviews of late. The guy wreaks of incompetence and arrogence.

Bears tried to trade up with Atlanta, from 9 to 8, and offered to throw it a future 4th round pick. They were after Odunze and obviously weren't a threat to take Penix.
