Weirdest away team fanbase you've ever seen at your team's tailgate area

Back in 2011, BYU came to Oxford to watch us be savage drunken heathens.

Thousands of weird arse Mormans were walking around the Grove in white t-shirts while we were getting trashed, because nobody gave a shite about our shitty football team at that time. I remember being obnoxiously drunk and seeing groups of Mormons just stare at me with a harsh judgy cult-like stare.

Never seen a culture clash quite like that.

I was at the Grove that day as well and we invited some BYU fans (not sure if they were Mormons) to tailgate with us. They were very friendly and appreciative of the hospitality. They complained about the heat, as, IIRC, it was a very muggy day. Hell, a few BYU fans even did jello shots with us.

One time I met a dude who did undergrad at BYU who told me he never watched pron. obviously I didn’t believe him but it’s weird he even tried to get it passed me. He was really religious.

College, nothing really sticks out but visiting Cleveland Browns fans are like the Drew Carey show on steroids. Super cool people but all of them were so damn quirky in their own way.

West Virginia.

Surprisingly hospitable for games in Morgantown, but unashamedly trashy when they’re the visiting team

Vanderbilt. I didn’t think they actually had any football fans, much less enough that would travel to an away game.

Not sure if this counts because neutral site

When I went to Charlotte this past year for the South Carolina/North Carolina game, a literal dance off and “rap” battle between UNC students happened right behind our tailgate.

It looked and sounded like a youth pastor club meeting.

I wrote a rough draft of a play about a Katrina family who had been relocated to Salt Lake City years ago. There are actually quite a few of them who actually were . The difference between New Orleans and SLC are about as drastic as can be found in the western world. Curb Your Enthusiasm beat me to production though...a day late and a dollar short.

How dare those assholes judge you like that?! What terrible people!

(If it's not obvious, I'm laughing at the irony, as the OP fixes his harsh and judgy stare on a group of people he calls a harsh and judgy cult, even while religiously getting together with his own group every Saturday for their drunken rituals.)

UCF fans were surprisingly terrible when I went down to Orlando to see SC play them in 2013. All of their students seemed like they were Guidos from New Jersey. Extremely confrontational. Funny enough SC ended up winning a hard-fought game 28-25 which resulted in the only loss for UCF that year when they went 12-1 and won the Fiesta Bowl.
