They still have talent and needed an infusion of energy. What happens two years down the road is to be seen.

They will be. Les Miles was elite the first few years post-Saban

It’s almost like people are forgetting that the portal opens back up for other teams in April. All we’re getting is terrible news about players leaving Bama because we’re the only big team with an open portal. It won’t be a net positive for us obviously but we’ll bring in good talent.

Need to do some more thinkin bud. No team chemistry whatsoever. New offensive scheme, new defensive scheme, no WRs on the roster. No QB to WR continuity. Just a complete rebuild.

Add in that once adversity hits, the rest of the players that felt cheated by Saban, will quit the team and transfer out after the spring, summer and season.

I think most people are just Sayin that the Bama teammates have no Bond to get them through the ups and Downs of CFB.

It could potentially be a rough first year, especially by usual Bama standards. I wouldn't be surprised if they go 8-4. I think long term they will be fine though

Overall, Deboer is probably a better coach than Saban at this moment. Saban had made more bad decision on offense than good in his career at Bama. Deboer is hiring better X&Os guys than Saban knew how to do. Everything with Saban was recruiting centered. Bama should be fine by next year. Deboer will take talent and do more with them than Saban was doing.

I agree. We all love to shite on Bama any chance we get but reality is they'll be ok. In no world will they be in the hunt every single year like they were under Saban but they'll have great years mixed in with good years and every once in a while they'll lose 4 games. Anyone counting them as an automatic win on their schedule should take a deep breath and look at this objectively.

Bama is in as good of shape for next year as the actual Legion Field.

They will be talented but won’t have the depth to survive all season.

I see the same thing, they still have solid talent so as long as the new HC doesn’t try and install the wrong offense based on the talent I think they will be fine.

I’d be surprised if they are in the playoffs the first year but with 12 teams now, who knows.

Well aren't you the board buzzkill...
Next you are going to say something like Bama will get portal transfers and fill in gaps

Come on now, logic is not only frowned upon here but explicitly forbidden.

They're never going to be bad.

Will they have some lean years? Sure, but they're never going to be A & M, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, South Carolina, Miss St or Arkansas.

I do to…they still have a lot of talent and a proven successful coach.
