Let's say it's open for everyone right now.

How does that make this easier for Alabama?

Husky Harsin could convince 5 stars to play for him.

Oh wait…

If every player in the country is available right now(who wanted to be/who would be open to some tampering) Alabama would have a DRASTICALLY better chance of adding players.

Anyone WR at Texas mad that Bond just rolled up in a Lambo to take their spot? Who knows? Maybe not. But there would be hundreds of situations like that throughout the country that Alabama could attempt to kick the tires on.

Was the SEC -> SEC transferring in spring allowed for LSU? I have no idea.

You're still having trouble understanding what "completely different" means.

Both teams lost coaches, both teams lost half their rosters. You want to try to tease out some distinction in order to claim some sort of victim-hood status?

I’m not arguing this either way, other than to say LSU didn’t have many talent players to lose compared to Alabama.

So you’re acknowledging LSU was in worse shape than Alabama is now. You really neutered OP’s entire thread and point. Well done!

When Orgeron was fired?

Dwight McGlothern
Trey Palmer
Deion Smith
Max Johnson
Dare Rosenthal

LSU also had 10 players drafted that year which didn’t particularly help either

Alabama is allowed to sign anyone in the portal right now. There are a couple thousand players to choose from

What keeps you from adding those guys in the spring?

What kept you from adding guys in the fall?

What is keeping from signing guys already in the portal?

You’re being a toddler.

A pinto and Porsche are both cars. So same exact thing I guess.

Gee I sure hope the team doesn’t quit as easily as their T-shirt fans. Because that would spell 8-4.

Nothing, other than competition from other programs.

Alabama did add players in the fall, didn’t they?

How is any of that relevant to my point?

You still haven't made a point.

What are you actually whining about?

How this has all played out pretty much proves that there is no way that this was planned and thought out by Saban and the AD. You will never convince me that all involved looked at all that would (and could) happen once Nick made that announcement and collectively decided doing it that way, in the spur of the moment, was the best course.

All 3 players LSU picked up from SEC teams in 2022 transferred in January.

Are you trolling?

Point: Alabama is going through a totally different, and wildly more difficult time right now because of NCAA rules and it’s idiotic for LSU fans to claim there aren’t any differences simply bc people made fun of LSU for LSU wrecking their own team.
