It isn't "totally different and "wildly more difficult."
There's really only one difference and that's players from other teams can't enter the portal until the spring.
That doesn't change things much though, historically, players didn't enter the portal much after the first 30 days, that's why the window was made smaller.
The difference is marginal, at best. You're exaggerating.

it’s idiotic for LSU fans to claim there aren’t any differences simply bc people made fun of LSU for LSU wrecking their own team.
Alabama wrecked its own team just as much.
You seem incapable of understanding this though.

How many scholarship players does Alabama have right now?

He’s in limbo between anger and depression. He can’t think straight. Too many emotions.

So you’re acknowledging LSU was in worse shape than Alabama is now.
Yeah, you had Orgeron as HC who stopped trying at all. LSU’s issues were because of him, not the portal. At least that’s the way I remember it.

Orgeron fricked LSU in the arse, but gave them the best season ever.
Saban fricked Alabama in the arse - but gave them the best season ever.
See? Even more similarities.

Alabama’s problems are because of Saban basically walking off the job.
I’ll ask another Alabama fan: How many scholarship players does Alabama have right now?

Is Alabama's issue actually because of the portal or because of a lack of planning on the part of Saban and the AD?

They were BLASTING me on the Alabama board for this exact take
Something happened to tip the scales for Saban. It was too abrupt, coming in the middle of Saban working to fill spots on his staff, to have been planned. The "they knew" line has never held water. Saban himself said it wasn't health related and he wasn't even sure about the decision until five minutes before that team meeting. Others in the AD building said they had no idea.
You have to ignore a whole bunch of evidence to believe this was the plan, and "they knew".

So LSU fell apart because of the portal too.
Posted on 1/18/24 at 8:05 pm to SidewalkTiger
No they fell apart bc it was a bad culture and Orgeron quit trying and the administration fired him. The firing prevented even more turmoil.

And Alabama fell apart because Saban walked off the job and then an unknown coaching staff was hired.
Why are you incapable of understanding this?

I’m glad Sidewalk and others are giving you the meltdown therapy distraction that you obviously need. Be safe out there, lil boy.

He’s not very bright. Can’t (or won’t) answer how many scholarship players they have right now, but is so certain they have it worse than LSU did.

Honestly Bama can frick right off. Your coach has been bending rules and influencing the NCAA for almost a generation and that doesn’t count the on field calls. This is hilarious.

Dont confuse LSU’s inferiority/disaster complex with Alabama being shite bags towards y’all. And let’s be honest, it went both ways lol

I enjoy debating here and I think I’m right, so I’m gonna enjoy arguing my side and seeing the other poster’s side.
