Reading this article helps remove that bitter taste left behind by seeing guys like Bond, Downs & Proctor sell themselves to the highest bidder. Love the guys who are staying and wish those other guys well. We will be just fine. Roll Tide!

Blame the system, not the players. The goal in life is to put oneself in better situations. It might be for better opportunities to play with a more polished passing QB in a great offensive system, making yourself more money or to be closer to home and family.

Don't blame players for putting themselves in a more opportune situation.

Proctor seems to be a favorite to land in Iowa. I don’t think he was whoring himself out to the highest bidder. He just decided he’d rather be at home.

If we somehow survive the remainder of this 30-day open season on our roster only losing the 8 players that hit the portal post-CNS retirement, the challenge will quickly move to retain the 2024 class after spring practice.
