Obviously I know how cutthroat the game is but I'm a little surprised that Sark and Kirby are so eager to poach Bama considering all that they've stated Saban has done for them.
Seems like if they really feel as indebted as they say, there would be at least some sense of "out of respect, let's not try to dismantle his legacy".
Guess that makes me a naive optimist.

At this juncture, we've got to hope our staff is making the full-court push on Caleb Downs. He's irreplaceable. Ohio State is tampering. We can replace a 6ft-nothing slot receiver's production. We can replace a big-body WR playing TE. These types of players are not uncommon. Safeties that can intuitively read what is going on out there and be around the ball every play are hard to find.

There is no loyalty beyond who cuts the pay checks. Nobody at your employer is going to consider you acted with honor to a former supervisor or coworker when you have a bad season or two.
