Downs is gone unless one of our boosters does something similar to what LSU did to keep Boutte.

I see a list of greedy quitters outside of Buchner.

Some might fit that description but the majority there are buried on the depth chart and declared before Saban retired.

Thanks…a running list is helpful. I really believe that how our new coach responds to stop the bleeding will be important on how our season goes this coming year. Downs is a must keep. That dude is a baller and we’d be dumb not to do everything possible to keep him.

Maybe by next Friday all the damage will be done until after A-Day

True. There's only 2 on that list I'd even want to retain.

I just don't want that list to start including our core future players.

You know what? Even if we lose a bunch of star players, I hope whatever team DeBoer salvages and coaches will be so motivated and pumped up that they absolutely manhandle each of the teams that are made up of our Benedict Arnolds next season. That would be so satisfying, and also not bad for future recruits to see.

They signed up to be coached by the GOAT. That has changed. If coaches can leave. Why can't the players leave when their situation changes?

I think the issue is coaches have contracts and buyouts. The coach commits to the university via a contract and can bounce with a buyout. These kids just jump for the next payday after already taking NIL funds from there current situation

I’m convinced that you either aren’t an Alabama fan or you’re dd4bama reincarnated.

Maybe Downs will ultimately leave but what real, non-speculative information do you have at this moment to indicate that he is definitely leaving?

Niblack I don’t get. I don’t understand why any receiver would transfer out of DeBoer/Grubb’s offense. If you are any good, you can put up stupid numbers and write your ticket to the league. I just don’t get it.

That applies to every single player on the team down to the walk ons.

I guess according to you they could just all theoretically leave and we could just shut the program down for a year or maybe raid some intramural squads on campus.

He’s not worth engaging. Fully exposed himself last night running to the rant looking for validation from rivals. Really pitiful stuff.
