Someone explain to me the difference between saying your base D is 4-2-5 and just playing Nickel, because I've seen people making a big deal out of this with our previous 3-4 base and roster construction, and I'm not seeing it.
We have been in Nickel at least 80% of the time for the last 10 years. I would bet of Nickel, Dime, Rabbit, and base 3-4, we have been in base 3-4 the least of those since like 2015.

If Alabama can’t have T-Rob return, there is another VERY REAL candidate for Alabama’s DC opening-
South Alabama’s Kane Wommack.
Wommack spent time at Indiana as DC during now-Alabama HC Kalen DeBoer’s time there as OC.
He led South Alabama to the #15 defense in the nation in 2023, allowing 312.8 YPG. That’s two spots ahead of Alabama’s 316 YPG.
In the event of T-Rob staying at Georgia, Kalen DeBoer has a chance to make a slam dunk hire with a DC that has Alabama and SEC/southern ties.

Go read my earlier post, this guy is a great defensive coach, made everywhere he's ever been substantially better on defense. Trob was another Golding, great recruiter, average coach. Id rather have a great coach at DC and get the recruiters at the position coaches

Who TF is laughing at a Sun Belt HEAD COACH (who drubbed Oklahoma State prior to their Big 12 title appearance, btw) coming here to be the Defensive Coordinator?
