Let’s be honest. This season was not one for the ages. Just a few moments ago, we saw a maize and blue tsunami swallow the SEC's crimson pride whole, taking advantage of a dynasty that’s been dead for longer than Lee Corso, leaving a bitter taste of autumn leaves and dashed dreams.

But from the ruins rose a powder blue, that saw underdog Ole Miss crowned kings. Kiffin, the now consensus GOAT of coaching, painted history by accomplishing his whopping 3rd 10 win season in his entire P5 career, and somehow the crafty bastard accomplished this previously impossible task before age 50. Ole Miss, you've restored a glimmer to the fallen South. SEC may stumble, but Lane's swagger burns eternal.

God bless Ole Miss and God bless the SEC.

I have never been so proud to be an SEC fan. 3 10 win seasons before age 50. BK and Saban haven’t even accomplished that and they’re significantly older.

Future is bright my friend. God bless you.

Let’s be real.

In recent years the SEC has only had two consistently strong programs: Bama and Georgia… and to a lesser extent LSU.

With divisions, when Auburn, A&M, or in some seasons LSU, are down by historical norms, it opens the door for another program to step up.

It was Petrino and Arkansas for a few years. Then Mullen at State. Freeze at Ole Miss… now it’s Kiffin at Ole Miss.

History shows when these programs step up, it’s never to the point of an actual championship of any sort, and it’s typically fleeting. Gone within 2-3 years.

Kiffin seems like he is building a decent foundation. But can it last? History says it won’t, but we’ll see.

What about 3 10 win seasons do you not understand? Do not diminish the accomplishments of our Rebel yelling, powder blue brothers. For years we all laughed at the 78% of Ole Miss fans who breastfed til their teenage years. Who’s laughing now, AUTiger?

Not 1, not 2, but 3 10 win seasons. Like UTk and Missouri, Kiffin has arrived.

I like how you listed aTm there as if there's any historical precedent that they're a powerhouse SEC program.

Our problem has always been consistency that's usually derailed by NCAA trouble (1986, 1990, 2014/15) or coaches checking out on us (Tubs 1997, Cut/Nutt after '03 and 08/09). For the first time ever, the NCAA is not going to be a problem, and Kiffin is definitely not going down the flunking recruiting route.

There's a chance here that for the first time since platoon football, we have chance to make a very good run of it.
