I'm excited about Wommack. Young, agressive coach, lots of upside.

On the whole, I'm very happy with the changes to the staff on defense. We've lost a LOT of talent and experience on D to the draft and the portal, but the new DC and coaches look very good.

I don't want to be negative about Kevin Steele, because I never thought he'd be able to turn the soft, utterly un-Bama like, 'couldn't tackle an opposing player if their lives depended on it' defense from Pete Golding into a respectable unit as fast as he did.
However, Saban mentioned in his post-retirement interview with ESPN that he had to put so much attention into the defense last season that it wore him down. Time for some new blood.

The new staff is young, yet experienced, with all having earned respect at their respective positions.

Hopefully Womack knows what he is getting into and the stage and the pressure won’t get to him.
He is not going get a long leash from the fans.

NIL at it’s best. Transparently, Jalen’s Youth Football camp agreement required a 2 hour appearance. Not only did he stay for 5 hours- he signed every last autograph and photo for each of his fans. We appreciate Jalen, his passion for youth and the entire state of Alabama. #LANK

Alabama is expected to hire NC State’s Jatavis Sanders as director of recruiting strategy, sources tell @247sports.

Sanders has been a key figure behind the scenes for NC State and has helped the Wolfpack compile their second-highest ranked recruiting class since 2008.

With the allegations of drinking and the lawsuits, I'm not sure we would really want him right now. That has the potential to turn into a shitshow before its over.

None of those kids can catch btw. Jalen was throwing dimes and they dropped like every single pass.

Just realized if Saban was still coaching Tuscaloosa would likely be crawling with has been Patriot coaches. Patricia, McDaniels, Joe Judge all out of work.

They were probably all depending on Belichick to get the Atlanta gig.
