Is he the starter next year? Serious question.

He’s an upperclassman and team captain. The only way he doesn’t start is if he’s hurt. We’ll just have to work around not having a short or intermediate passing game.

It's gonna be the same shite over and over. Inconsistency, terrible vision sprinkled with highlight reels. Never know which Jalen will show up

He's the starter barring something catastrophic happening in the "offseason". I'm just hoping he can progress and show growth as a passer. If not, we are in for another stressful year.

Y’all have seen our absolute ceiling with him at QB. The blueprint for beating him is out there. If you can get after the passer at all, he’s a sack machine and scrambles into pressure.

Yes, he is the starter next year and our best chance to win.

Be honest, how would you feel if you Milroe entered the transfer portal and we had to play against him as the QB of Ole Miss or Texas? Would be scary as hell to face in a Lane Kiffin or Sarkisian offense (not hating on Rees, he’s just not those guys).

People kept saying Milroe turned a corner and I guess he did in some ways compared to the Texas game & 2022, but it was never like he became Deshaun Watson or Vince Young in the second half of the year.

The whole “who’s laughing now?” commentary was poor form.

Without a doubt. You don't want a true freshmen to start. Simpson couldn't beat out Milroe this year. Maybe one of the freshmen QB from the 23 class might have a chance, maybe.

He will start as the starter. Very little question. If he remains the starter will depend on many factors - his improvement or lack thereof and the improvement or lack thereof from the rest of the QB room.

FWIW, we don't have a QB on this roster that would have been successful yesterday with the way Michigan was eating our lunch up front.

McLaughlin is the problem. So tired of this foolishness. We win the game with an adequate snapper.

Yes, he will almost certainly be the starter.

Can he complete a slant consistently? We don’t know, because we have no idea how many times that was the call and we get a poor snap that kills the ability to run it.

Until I watched the Washington/Texas game last night and the ball perfectly snapped, or close enough that the qb never had to field it like a shortstop every other play I didn’t really appreciate how much that helps. I’m probably going to go back and look at the whole game and see how many good snaps we had in the entire game. In OT, which I’ve already looked at the answer is none of the 6 were good. NONE.

While Milroe has his limitations, until that is fixed we truly don’t know what he can be.

Of course he is. Bama won an SEC championship with him starting. This is a year players have traditionally made a big jump in terms of it clicking for them.

Yes.

He played like shite and it sucked but he’s the starter next year.

He needs to really put in work like Hurts did in the offseason. If he doesn’t progress much somehow then we need to reevaluate the QB position for sure…but I think he’ll improve.

Also we have to go to Wisconsin and then play UGA in T town early next year. Do you want a freshman starting? Assuming Simpson is gone of course.

I get emotional in game threads as well and talk a lot of shite but the next day I try to come back to Earth. Milroe has to be better but he should be the guy next year.

But I also want the best player to play. If he’s not the best player come game 1 then we’ll see what happens.

I remember Jalen Hurts having some of the same issues his freshman year.
