I mean, I guess that’s technically true. There’s no rule about how many times can be described as “at times.”
I get it. I’m not blind. I saw a problem there just like everyone else did. I also saw a problem last season when Dalcourt was the center, and saw a major improvement when McLaughlin entered the lineup. My problem is with how our fans treated that kid. It’s not like he had a bad attitude or was lazy. He struggled with snaps from shotgun. There’s no reason to get angry and berate him for that. It’s obvious that he’s transferring because of a few trash fans that attacked him online and I even read about possible death threats. I hope that’s not true, but it so it’s embarrassing if it is

McLaughlin was a beast for us in 2021 with Bryce at QB.
I don't remember Seth having a snapping problem until this year.

But it's OK the way fans treat Milroe???

Last year Seth's snaps were not great but for the most part they were good enough and an improvement over Dalcourt.
This year, early season issues were largely associacted with having to help slow the Dalcourt swinging door. Later in the season the issue came back every time he had to reach against a strong DT/nose. When he was worried about the blocks he had to try to make, he released the ball too early or pushed it too quickly. Release too quickly and and you get a worm burner.push it too quickly and you shoot it over or past the QB.
His issues in the Auburn game looked to me like he could not hear the snap count and sent it before the QB was ready.

I thought he was out of eligibility. I’ll be surprised if anyone signs him. Maybe some Division II school.

I was responding to your comment but I wasn’t directing that line at you. I read a lot of trash about the kid right after the game by our fans and it hasn’t set well with me. I apologize to you if you took it that way

I’ve been a big defender of Milroe too.

I don't condone any kind of personal attacks directed at him, but I've got no issues with people criticizing his play. These guys can't say they're big boys doing valuable, important work when it's time to make money and then shield themselves with "I'm just a college student" when they frick that work up. You want to get paid to work? There is a downside to it. Unlike volunteers, professionals have standards they're expected to meet.

We’ve all had the same thoughts but what could cause the snaps being at the QB’s feet other than the center simply short arming it?
Now the snaps that come out early and fly by Milroe when he isn’t ready could be on simply miscommunication from the QB and Center but how could the short snaps be on the QB?
Genuinely curious.

He had some bad snaps here and there with Bryce but not in even in the same galaxy of how bad it’s been this year. There’s literally no explanation for how a D1 scholarship C can be as bad at his most important job (safely deliver football to the QB) as Seth was this year.
I’ve never seen anything like it at any level of competitive football, including High School. It’s absolutely baffling and the fact that he wouldn’t answer any questions after the game from the media tells me everything I need to know about him.
Don’t let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya.

I went back to 2021 footage and noticed Seth has changed the way he palms the ball when snapping from a middle hold to top hold. I wonder how much effect that has on his placement issues.
What are your thoughts on the different techniques?

Isn't that the basis for the national champ against ND ..the dust up btwn AJ and Barrett. Barrett was making a call..AJ seeing something different ( or something like that).

I think he changed after the first few games when he was always snapping high. Now we have the opposite problem.

Seth would make a good G5 guard somewhere like Jax State or Chattanooga. He never needs to snap a ball again on any level.

He was never a beast. He was just a steady improvement from Dalcourt. I don't know what happened this year but he was consistently a weakness on the line.

The personal attacks never should have happened. But his play on the field, as far as snapping the ball, was pitiful. I realize everyone says we don’t, but it is almost impossible for me to believe that at one of THE major programs in football, we don’t have someone who can snap a football?

I think we knowingly chose to suffer through his snapping woes this season in order to retain his offensive experience in calling protections (which he didn't do very well against UM). Jalen had enough on his shoulders, so Seth was needed to help ensure we got the proper protections / slides in place pre-snap.

Simpson entering the portal would be short sighted unless he doesnt believe he can beat out Lonergan. 2 years as starting QB at Bama is well worth the wait
