recorded a sack today iirc. Not getting the reps with next to zero talent on the interior of the line

He played. He was decent most of the year but he’s a true freshman playing on the DL. He played a lot of snaps today

This is the same game plan as NMSU, Cal and now Maryland. Cannot get any push from the Oline. Then we panick and no way Payton is good enough to win the game.

Positives, the defense settled down after the first quarter and only gave up 3 points on an end of half FG. Hank will be a good QB at some point, for somebody.

Other positives: I got nothing.

He’s a true freshmen playing on the DL. He also had a sack today. wtf were you expecting out of him? He had 35 total tackles as a freshmen, which was second on the DL behind Harris who had 40.

Was hoping after the LSU debacle we would not have another defensive meltdown this year but so much for hoping. It doesn't matter how well they looked qtrs 2-3 when they sh$% the bed that bad in qtr 1.

Hopefully next week. Hank looked x1000 more comfortable and unafraid out there.

Not so sure the defensive scheme was so poor just way too many holes in the backend of the defense.

And we can’t rush the passer on the front end with our DL only

What makes you think that we only need 2 OL. Half of what we currently have needs to be replaced.

Terrible play all around.

Bingo

From looking at some of our worst games going all the way back to Georgia State they all have similar common denominators or themes of just all around apathetic woe-is-me ball in the trenches, at the skill positions, everywhere. It is hard to say anybody played great, and its hard to point at who deserves the majority of the blame other than the coaching staff. The OL playing that bad was surprising to me. But the special teams getting involved in the act just tells me the whole
episode was a snowballing effect that started picking up momentum as soon as the game started and the staff had no recourse to fix it.

The positive: Our Qbs got work.

Finding a new QB1 is step 1.

Have to disagree. Until we get a competent OL that can provide some modicum of protection, any QB we get is going to look bad.
