They stopped enforcing that one back in 2010 when As The Plains Burn was running and driving up traffic to this site.

And they mostly don’t enforce personal attacks besides doxxing. Because it can’t really be personal if we don’t know who you are.

They also don’t enforce excessive cussing. So that’s about half of them at this point.

Doxxing is wrong. I don’t get offended by nudity but I get why it’s a rule. Other than that I don’t really see a need for any rules.

I think, like Ross said earlier, resorting to "personal attacks" during debates/discussion, which the definition of in this place is very loose (much like the targeting rule), is always going to be in the eye of the beholder. It's why I said use the RA button if you see something you think applies to that/anything "inappropriate". We'll get notifications about that whenever we're on the board, even if we're not logged into "admin" mode. And I do check this place pretty frequently, even if I don't post as much.

The biggest thing I don't like is shite like atwitsend/freemanjiro did, starting threads calling out posters/following them around to every thread/post they make and continuing to harass/antagonize them. That's unnecessary and just drags everyone down.

The nudity ban is basically just to keep the advertisers happy.
