Genuinely want to know where this narrative that texass is going to be a dominant team over an extended period of time. Prior to this season, they had a NUMBER of terrible performances for the better part of two decades. This is a program that just two years ago lost to a 2-10 Kansas team at HOME.
While one can easily rock chalk that loss to a fluke, there is little evidence to prove that this year is anything but a fluke for texass.

If we're being real about the thing, the SEC has pretty much been a Big Two for awhile now: Alabama and Georgia.
Then there is a "Pretty Big 2" that follows: Florida and LSU.
Actually, if we're being REAL, since 2000 it's the big 1 (Bama) and the pretty big 3 (Florida, LSU, Georgia).

You sir, are an idiot. Oklahoma surpasses Texas on the blue blood scale by any metric you want to use.

Weak
We were told how tough this conference would be, yet had to mercy kneel deep in Alabama territory to avoid beating the SEC champion by 17 points on the road.

If Texas has 9 NCs they must be from the prehistoric days. OU had solidly been the better team the last 50 yrs.

"The Six" started in the 1920's I believe ands was the 6 best in the South (to pay tribute to football not covered by the East Coast and Upper Midwest media)
It has changed from time to time. Private school Tulane was replaced by LSU. Nerd school Georgia Tech was replaced with Georgia. While I would not exclude Oklahoma or Texas in the future, they would have to catch and past current membership in "The Six" which would be a tough road. Florida is looking more vulnerable than most as they are new and have fallen.

What is particularly funny is that so many LSU fans liked or at least pretended to like Texas because it irritated the A&M fans, never stopping to consider that Texas would just lower the status in the conference of LSU.
