Which is it? Is Florida State one of the 4 best teams or are they 14-point underdogs to the SEC Runner-Up?

Both things can't be true.

Ur missing the point. You can't determine based on what you watch in a game that Bama is better than Florida state because they did not play. FSU is 13-0 bama is 12-1. FSU deserved to be in the playoffs. Are they one of the 4 best teams idk? but they did what they needed to do to get in.

Washington played Oregon and won. Oregon and Washington played again and before the game Oregon was -9.5 point favorites yet Washington won again. And i guarantee if Oregon and washington played again Oregon would be favorites. So should oregon be in ahead of washington?

If you are 13-0 in a P5 conference, you are a top 4 team until proven otherwise. Nobody has beaten FSU, so they haven’t been proven otherwise. Facts matter more than constantly changing betting lines. Not that difficult.

Florida state is an undefeated P5 conference champion.

An undefeated P5 conference champion has never been left out of the playoff.

Playoffs are never about "best team".
The criteria to make the playoffs has been a dart board ever since its inception.

Hell... nick Saban claimed that UGA was one of the 4 best teams in the country in 2018.
His coaches poll voted UGA #5 because "they didn't deserve to be in".

FSU is an undefeated P5 conference champ. That trumps a 1 loss P5 conference champion.

And a 1 loss conference champion with a head to head win gets in between 2, 1 loss conference champs.

FSU put in the work and got screwed while Bama was given a welfare check (didn’t earn it, was given the fruit of someone else’s work)

Amen, I will trust Vegas over the "Top-25 system any day".

Based on the logic used by some on the SEC Rant, #17 SMU went 10-2 should be ranked ahead of #13 LSU who went 9-3. After all, SMU won their conference and won their conference championship game with a back up quarterback. They went 10-2 while LSU went 9-3 and didn't win their conference and SMU "did everything the committee asked of them" but they're relegated to playing an unranked 6-6 Boston College in a much lesser bowl game while LSU gets to play in a more prestigious bowl.

Where's the outrage for SMU?
