Much of the time it's when you lose not necessarily how many losses you have or who you lose to.

Oh yeah Mizzou is at 9 bc they're pretty good.

Explain Bama at 8 based on how they are playing right now.

didn’t realize good losses were Ws now. New metric we need to start following.

Ole Miss’ W over LSU is worth more than your moral victory over UGA and a bad Tennessee team.

Because, in both of our losses, we had the ball with a chance to win at the end of the game.

Your game against Georgia, on the other hand, was over as soon as you walked onto the field.

So a close loss is worth more than actually beating LSU? Feels like recency bias.

Welcome to reality. People are prisoners of the moment. More on the news at 11.

ole miss won because LSU had zero defense, plus a dropped TD at the end. Take your good season and move along.

Better yet, explain Tennessee, at 7-4, even being ranked.

It’s a shame that Mizzou doesn’t play Ole Miss this season. Would clear up any dispute on who’s better and would undoubtedly be an incredible matchup.

That said, good season Ole Miss. There are a decent amount of Missourians that go to school in Oxford and we share the distinction of having almost “great” seasons a couple times per decade.

Because the CFP and ESPN hates Ole Miss.

Game control or whatever BS they consider in the metric for the committee is dumb.

The committee will force a ton of blowouts all season and backups won’t get playing time so that teams can score 70 to pass an “eye test” for the committee.

It’s recency bias by the committee and they are hiding behind this stat. They will just do whatever they want.

Missouri lost at home to LSU. That is worse than losing by 30+ to Georgia on the road.

This X100

Put Missouri and Ole Miss in Dallas and it would be an awesome game

It's pretty simple:

Early in the conference season: Ole Miss barely beat LSU, Mizzou barely lost to LSU

Later in the conference season: Mizzou barely lost @ UGA, Ole Miss didn't belong on the field @ UGA.

It's not hard to understand.

They have 2 ranked wins (#19 and #21) and their losses were both to ranked teams (#1 and #14). The only other teams with 2 losses aren't comparable.

Iowa has no ranked wins and one of their 2 losses is to an unranked team.

PSU is good in losses but only has one ranked win (Iowa).

Oklahoma has only 1 ranked win and one of their losses is to an unranked team.

Ole Miss has 2 ranked losseas and only 1 ranked win.

Louisville is the question. They're a 1 loss team ranked below Mizzou. They have 1 unranked loss and only 1 ranked win.

The ranking makes sense.

False. Tulane is ranked 23.

So losses to 1 and 14 vs losses to 1 and 8 (advantage ole miss)

Wins against 19 and 21 vs wins against 14 and 23
(Advantage ole miss)

It’s close, and I wouldn’t be upset except there is a common opponent that one team beat and one team lost to.

I think both are better than UL and PSU, but without common opponents I can’t get mad the committee disagrees.

There’s a heavy Mizzou bias nationally and internationally.

Actually that counted as a pass defended but you do what you need to do to justify CBK as being good!
