Again this is simply not true, though I will grant you the ones saying that are just trolls. But I agree if Washington or Oregon wins the PAC 12 Championship game and Penix or Nix plays well, that guy very well may be your winner. The sad part is the SEC will need to to take a lot of blame for this, as putting the LSU-A&M game on at 11:00 this weekend opposite the OSU-Michigan game has to hurt Daniels chances.

The only thing I really take away from this is:
LSU and the SEC have upped their Heisman campaign. It's an individual trophy, but it reflects on the team and the conference that player is a member of.
And in this case, LSU's historically bad defense is a boost to the campaign: you don't have to tout wins in big games. Daniels LITERALLY put up 49 points on a ranked team, had a monster game- and lost. He put up monster games multiple times to win nail-biters.
You enter every game telling him he has to be almost perfect; 300+ yds, 3 TDs, about 100 yds rushing to have a chance. And he just smiles and goes about doing it.
LSU could lose to a G5 team with it's defense, but because of Daniels, it could also beat any playoff team. That's about as "best player in the game" qualifications as it gets.

Maybe, but I haven’t seen any that I can think of that stated he wasn’t the best in the country. There may have been a couple - likely started by the same individual, but the OP’s notion that “all those Bama fans” are having a difficult time admitting that he is the best is plainly nonsense.
I got shite on by LSU fans of all people for starting a thread about it myself. If I am able to willingly publicly acknowledge the greatness of an LSU player, you won’t find many Bama fans who can’t do the same.

I know why you started that thread and you know why you started that thread. It wasn’t to praise Daniels, it was an attempt to claim Daniels was better than Burrow. It was a solid and subtle troll and I commend you for it. I don’t disagree most Bama fans acknowledge how great Daniels has been. But this place has been a cesspool of idiocy with the multiple threads started by Bama fans. If you get to act like morons like Stephen, Nicholas, NFLSU are representative of all LSU fans, you can’t simply dismiss the asshats claiming to be Bama fans as outliers who have spammed this board with crap for weeks.

This is completely false, and other than your assumption that my feelings are somehow hurt by Joe Burrow, isn’t grounded in any form of reality. Daniels is elite. What he is doing is remarkable.

I don’t disagree with this to an extent, but I think if we ran the numbers - for every thread started by the two spammers we’ve got, there are probably 5-10 posts openly discussing Daniels’ talent. And I’m not sure even the spammers have dared suggest Daniels isn’t the best. They may try to stir up the masses regarding the hit he took against Bama, but I don’t think they’re pushing a narrative that he isn’t deserving.

I didn’t say you didn’t believe Daniels was elite, I just said I knew WHY you started the thread. And I’m pretty sure I’m right, though obviously I can’t prove that.

how can you say recent history will probably keep him from winning. Caleb Williams won last year. his team had three losses. and he didn't play for any championship

USC played for the PAC12 title, lost the game, and only had two losses when the Heisman was awarded to him.
