Before Chris Del Conte got here I would have wholeheartedly agreed with you. You can say the jury is still out on him but I do think he was a good hire personally. I think he's done a good job keeping the boosters at arm's length and in Austin that is a colossal task.

Then why hasn't aTm won anything since the SWC days if it's that simple?
We also won the Big 12 championship, but that was a long time ago as well.

Dude. Texas AM has never won anything of value ever.

Even Oil Baws have their limits. In this economy I doubt you make a big name hire.

I didn’t say it was simple. I said we would continue to recruit well. And I said a good coach would get us ten wins and marginal one would make it continue as it is.
These dimwits didn't actually READ anything that you said.

What a poor return on investment then. Jimbo out a A&M is great news for LSU. My concern is the he links up with Saban again.

A&M doesn’t have a coaching problem. They have a Leadership problem.

Until A&M figures out how to remove the outsized influence of the BMDs and political forces truly controlling the athletic department they will continue the idiotic decisions.
This from t-freakin-u?

Yes, we have a problem with the BMDs. No question. Our problem with the BMDs pales in comparison to the t.u. problems with them.

"Milk men" or no, at least we manage to educate most of our graduates.

A&M’s money recruits for A&M. They have facilities that make NFL teams jealous. They pay their coaches insane amounts of cash and can put any amount of coaching talent together they want to buy.

I don't mind the Aggies, but y'all make me cringe when you say shite like this.

If this is true you guys are idiots. You literally structured his contract so he no longer had to care about coaching due to all the guaranteed money. I'd hire a younger, hungry, still proven coach and give him a good salary with a tremendous upside based on achievements.
The problem is the BMDs and their disproportionate influence.

They want instant results, and most of them are delusional enough to think that spending enough money is guaranteed to produce instant results.

We have the exact same problem. If Urban Meyer had agreed to come here we would be locked in a ridiculous contract with him right now and going through the same thing you are with Jimbo. Like I said in a previous post we are more alike than we care to admit when it comes to football. The next 10 to 20 years is going to be a spending war between Texas and Texas a&m to try to stay ahead of each other. The rest of the SEC is going to get a kick out of it.

You people are just so damned stupid.

Since the beginning of time, TAMU has regularly been rated as among the LEAST-welcoming major universities vis-a-vis homosexuals, while t.u. has been rated among the most-so.

You are must fricking OBSESSED with the oddities of the Yell Leaders.

Exactly this. Texas/Texas AM will top recruiting in the SEC for the foreseeable future. Bama (with Saban) and Georgia will fight for 3rd/4th followed by LSU/OU

You're going to see some big time spending wars between Aggie and Texas. There's no amount of money that either won't spend to try to stay ahead of the other
They THINK they understand this, because they have experience with Alabama and Auburn. Given the size of the universities and the resources available to the alumni, that little rivalry is a firecracker next to a dynamite explosion.

You think CUM couldn't win at tejas in the BigXII?

You're either stupid, or you're stupid.

Did I say he couldn't win dumbass? I simply said we would be locked in a big contract. Perhaps your lack of reading comprehension makes you the stupid one.

You pay them regardless if they win and that’s your problem.
