Probably, and yall should be thankful for it. The other major runs of the 21st century the media shoved them down our throats usually because of some headlining storyline.
03-04 USC was set in LA at a blue blood program and had megastars leinhart and bush that both won heismans
06-08 UF had heisman winner tebow shoved in our face to go along with a hateable coach and electric playmakers on offense
early bama dynasty, like around 08-10, there wasn't a bunch of fuss because of a lack of reasons listd above. Then from 2011-present it got all the buzz because of the sheer insanity of how unbelievable their run was. The best in cfb history.
Compare that to our current one. Not a blue blood. A boring walkon at QB. No heismans. No real household megastars at WR or RB. Winning primarily (in 21/22) with suffocating defense which doesn't really grab headlines. Even this year, in the midst of breaking records and maybe accomplishing something not done since before WW2, the headlines are more focused on frickign deion sanders and his barely .500 team. FAct is that in today's society our team just doens't grab clicks and headlines, they simply win and go home.

Should be longer due to Bama starting the season at #1 and for no reason and then giving UT the #1 ranking for another no good reason

what part of the OP project insecurity? It's pointing out a tremendous accomplishment that has stood for years throughout SEC history. didn't realize security level was in the mix by pointing it out.
If you want a real example of insecurity though, look no further than some bama fan responses to not being the top dawg on the block anymore..
