You need guys like this to be the core of the be program with portal players coming and going.
Devo is too much of a head case to be this guy, but you need 3-4 developmental players for continuity and to help with the small things of the portal players coming, leading by example in practice, bringing the new guys up to speed of how things are done in the program.
Muss runs his program too much like a pro team, if they allowed mid-season trades/pick ups it could work, but in college you are stuck with your hand for the year and when you put together a shitty hand your stuck with the shitty hand like this year.

That’s my point actually. We kept Pinion. He will never play here. At least meaningful minutes. Why give Ford’s spot to Battle or Ellis? Why give Dunning’s spot to Pinion? We need guys to remain in the program. Or else, you have a roster full of guys who have had absolutely no long term commitment and care for the program.
My point wasn’t they’d be starting, my point was those should have been the holdover developmental guys.

If anyone is a real glutton for punishment, go back and scan through about the first 20 or so pages of this thread. Amazing how the wheels completely fell off based on pre-season expectations.
